A family member had their 10 year birthday, but had stopped going to meetings and would not receive the token. He was surprised to get one as a gift and was very pleased by it.

I happened to meet someone who runs an AA meeting for a group that is mostly composed of lower income people. I asked him if there was anything that I could do to help them and he said that they could really some of these coins so that they can reward those that have stuck to these sobriety for a number of years. As usual, I went to Amazon and I found just what I was looking for. I ordered several in each year and gave them to my new friend. Since I dont go to meetings and since it is anonymous I will never probably meet the people that will receive these but I hope that they strengthen their commitment to changing their life.
