Needed another gigabit Ethernet port on a BV Tech 10 port PoE switch to simplify wiring. The switch had an unused SFP uplink, so I gave this part a try. It was literally plug and play. This has been running a 7x24 for a couple of months without issue. For my situation, it was a great alternative to buying another switch.

Have these in my Unifi Dream Machine Pro and they work spot on for a fraction of the cost! Good customer service (they already asked if I had any issues to be sure), will keep me looking to them first in the future.

I purchased this unit to use with an Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 8-150W with the original goal of connecting to a 10/100 only device that does not require POE, leaving all 8 POE ports open for my POE Hardware. Unfortunately, the connection could not be established at 10/100 speeds using this unit in that SFP port... it would endlessly cycle the LEDs indicating it was attempting to configure itself, failing, then trying again. However, when I swapped to using this unit for a 1G uplink to my upstream switch, it worked perfectly and has had no issues whatsoever. All in all, the unit works well so long as youre running 1G (and the issue there may be in the Switch, not the SFP transceiver). It gets a little warm but nothing horrible, and overall has performed as expected.

Did not work on D-Link DGS-1210-10P C1 (granted D-Link is not listed as compatible - so I am not taking any stars off).

Used this for Cogent 1Gbps DIA. Works great. Not much else to say...

The QT-SFP-M was flawless for almost exactly 5 months. Suddenly, its completely dead. Update: The seller reached out and provided a refund, allowing me to purchase a replacement. The replacement unit is working great. Im very happy with the product and the sellers response when I had an issue.

The device didnt work. It was a waste of money and ended up in the garbage.

Order the Cisco variant. Worked perfectly in my Araknis 8-port Gigabit POE switch, model AN-300-SW-8-POE. Ran file-copy tests from my laptop to my QNAP NAS and it runs a full speed in both directions It does feel like it runs on the warm side. I will update my review if I encounter any problems.

While the unit looks really well made, it is not compatible with the TP-Link TP-SG2210P. I am running the latest firmware (V3.20 20200730). Talking with TP-Link support, they say that only fiber units are supported.

I’ve only had this a short time, but so far so good!
