While these work, Ive had problems with running clients off of these.. seems they work well and proper when feeding another switch via its SFP. So at that point, get the fiber version and get the fiber optic cables. For short runs like home use, the multimode duplex are more economical. the simplex versions are supposed to be better, but that only matters for real long runs , like thousands of feet.

Great product for the price. Do keep in mind that it is 1Gbps only and does not support any devices that are 10/100Mbps.

The item was beautifully packaged and well priced, but unfortunately seems to be incompatible with my Netgear GS728TP switch. I troubleshot with some other SFPs I had onhand and it came down to the SFPs. No errors reported by the switch, but the port would blink once upon cable insertion and then just stay down. Gave 3 stars because it really was beautifully packaged and very well priced, but unfortunately incompatible.

No problems at all now I don’t have to worry about using the entirety of a 1gb link. Has been online with no connection issues for around 2 months and 100% uptime. I need to get some more to see if they work this hood in intel cards
