> 3 dayI have a few Linksys managed switches and a few smart switches (similar to a managed switch with no layer 3 functions or console port). They primarily use traditional copper ethernet cables, but they each have two SFP ports for fiber. In theory these can be used for any purpose, but in practice theyre best saved for when copper cannot cut it. I use them for 30-40 meter runs in my home that get snaked through the garage and end up under baseboards. Fiber is really thin, so it can fit under the baseboard. Fiber is immune to crosstalk, so the various runs being right atop each other wont interfere. Of course another use for be extremely long runs or runs through an industrial area with loads of magnetic interference or other issues. Lastly, fiber doesnt conduct electricity, so it wont spread havoc if a connect device gets struck by lightning. Anyway, these SFP modules just plug in and work. I used Monoprice LC to LC fiber and these on both ends (in Linksys switches). Works great.

Greater than one weekWorked great in my ubiquiti unifi 48 port switch in the sfp+ port. Used to get 10g speed to my dell servers 10gig copper ethernet port

> 3 dayI ordered the ipolex Gigabit SFP Copper RJ45 1000Base-T model and this works with my MikroTik. I had to make some changes on the OS for it to communicate with the device. If you have issues with it just seeing activity you may need to turn off the auto-negotiation feature on the port and set the speed to 1GB for it to start working. This is what I needed to do. After this it started working without any issues. So far everything is working as described and getting the full speeds listed.

> 3 dayThis transceiver functions well and negotiates to 10Gb/s on a MikroTik CRS309, but within SwitchOS the transceiver does not report temperature like the manufacturer MikroTik S+RJ10 transceivers do.

> 3 dayBeen running these SFPs between two microtik switches with 10G connections between them. These SFPs will connect right up, but after a while they start flopping, going up and down. I bought 4 originally, and had two replaced thinking a couple I got were bad, but low and behold they ended up failing as well. I would choose a different brand, at least for the RJ45 SFPs. However, your mileage may vary.

Greater than one weekEasy to connect just snap it into the SFP port. In this case I have multiple Ubiquiti Unifi switches and had no trouble getting everything to work. So far no issues...
