This lock type bottle is great. After the white cap comes off, The top of the needle applicator simply pushes forward to apply loctite, And when you are done it pushes closed. Makes application easy and no mess. Also, the needle doesnt get clogged for application, And the bottle seals tighter so the loctite lasts longer.

They sell less than 50% full but charge you 60% of full retail charge. Plus the nozzle must be cut and it still doesnt work properly. I use on work bench and range and its no convenient nor practical. Unethical charge amount for percentage of actual fluid

I use this for my RC cars I have a few that go close To if not over 100mph with a lot of vibration this stuff never let me down yet

Do I feel Loctite is the best threadlocker company compared to others? Nope, but the product work well enough for my tasks where I do not feel like it will fail. I chose this version because my fasteners will occasionally be exposed to oil and I did not want to risk the threadlocker degrading. If there is a risk the threads of your fasteners will come into contact with oil, buy the 243 version. It will be more durable in the long run compared to the 242 version.

To everyone that says that the bottle is half empty: You must not know much about thread sealants. It is supposed to come half full. For two reasons. One is so that it doesnt cure in the bottle and more importantly because you have to shake the bottle to mix the chemicals to activate them properly. Crazy how many people complain about something that they dont even understand is for their own benefit. You must shake the bottle thoroughly every time you use it or its not going to work correctly.

What can I say other than Loctite is the best and your buying a quality product!!

The bottle says 50 mil (1.69) oz. However it is half empty. Since the bottle plastic is relatively thick and not translucent, I held a flashlight up to the side and could see the liquid only reached the bottom warning sign on the back of the bottle which is roughly half full. Im debating whether to return as it took 3 weeks to get. for some reason the better priced loctite was coming from India so I had to wait 3 weeks to get it. With Mothers day weekend here, I will wait till Monday to decide to return or not. I should as half the bottle is empty.
