I used these attached to a multi-foot long bit extension to clear out the inside of an agave stalk for the purposes of making unique wind instruments. I found the bristles of this end up getting chocked full of the pulp but that it also helps keep them from getting overly aggressive with piece. For wood, these will definitely grind away anything soft and leave the harder parts of the wood scratched but not ruined. Im thinking I might try something a little more aggressive for the bulk of the work and then switch back to these as a milder approach to the outer edges before switching to something even less aggressive.

I got these to use with my dewalt hand drills, so far they have held up well. The pack I got came with two.

These wire brushes will fit most electric drills. The wire itself is sturdy and does a good job removing rust and so on. Each of these 2 brushes is 2-inches in diameter.

I was excited about getting and using this wire brush wheel and it exceeded my expectations. The reason is that this is wider than many others so it runs much more smoothly on whatever you are trying to smooth or brush out. Others that are narrower tend to bounce, or grab, which causes the brush to bounce up and off what you are working on. This brush was much more uniform on running on the work surface. With it being wider, you get a more uniform brush action and less of a possibility of cutting into softer materials such as plastic or wood. This will now be my “go to” wheel to use to clean rust off tools such as shovels accidentally left outside. Yes, there will be times I will need to use a narrower wheel, but as I am an elderly man, using this with a strong grip of my drill, this is now my favorite wire wheel to use and control.

I used these to descale and remove decades of rust and rust pockets from a cast iron cauldron before resealing with rust prevention paint. Bristles held up well and did not deform under moderate pressure, which I would advise with this type of drill attachment (as well as a moderate speed.) ALWAYS wear safety glasses when using these types of wire brushes because individual wires can break off. These held well because Ive used plenty of similar products for many years, and starting with a light touch and slowly ramping up will help you sustain a safe project. Easy to chuck, gripped well in chuck, and lasted much longer than others Ive used in the past. Would order again.

These hold together good. I think it’s rated for 30k rpm but I only used it in my drill which runs about 2-3k rpm. These are good for ripping paint off of steel tools. It will texturize soft metal like copper, I tested it on copper tubing. I took pictures of my lawn mower blade before and after filing and finishing with the wire brush. It can also clean up threads on a large steel bolt. I hope this helps!

I tested in with the high-speed setting on my DeWalt drill to remove rust from a piece of scrap sheet metal. After ~30 seconds it came off with no issues, and I could have cleaned it up much more if I spent longer doing it. This shouldnt be used for big flat jobs like this since its such a small wheel, but the size makes it great for getting into nooks and crannies. After that work, there were no bent wires, even after I pushed the corners of the wheel into the sheet to try and bend them. Nothing came off, so in the short term it looks like this is a well made piece!
