This product was easy to set up with a mobile phone. Plugging in the extender in the same room as the router, I pressed the WPS button the router and the corresponding button on the extender. Once the lights indicated a connection, I took the extender across the street.

o I have a dead spot in the basement of my house. There were multiple options to try and remedy this (including ethernet over powerline, a long cord, or a second router), but this was a cheap and easily set up repeater. Set up is very easy. Plugging it into the outlet turns it on and you can connect to the wifi SSID and then open your captive browser page to modify the settings. When you connect to your home network, it will then piggy back off your home router and broadcast a new SSID.I place this repeater at a spot I had 2-3 bars of wifi reception (on my phone). Now areas where I was not able to get reception, Im getting 4 bars from the repeater (about 2-3 bars from the home router if you consider the chain). this easily extended my range about 30-40 ft including through multiple walls. This is great as I have a few devices that I wanted to use as headless servers int eh basement to keep them out of the way.I also like how this only uses a single outlet without blocking the second outlet (the plug can be rotated by pushing down on the tab). Ethernet is a nice addition, but being a repeater was the main purpose of this device.In terms of usage as a router. Here are the different scenarios for usage:1) Connect directly to the internet through the ethernet and function as a WAN for 5 devices.2) Be a repeater by connected to a wireless internet and rebroadcast the same SSID. This essentially extends the range of your original wireless network.3) Connect to the internet through wifi, but broadcast a separate SSID. This allows you to let people connect to your wireless network using a guest SSID and password without allowing them to connect to your actual router/modem.Please note that i was provided a review sample.

This is a great price for a what this device does. I have a 2 story 2100 sq ft home with 2 bedrooms and a large bonus room upstairs and a very open floor plan downstairs for the kitchen and living room, but the Master bedroom is downstairs and somewhat tucked away. I started working from home recently so I relocated the router (Asus RT-N56U) from the bonus room to the MBR downstairs so I could plug directly into the router via ethernet cable. It didnt take long for my 2 teenage daughters, whose bedrooms are upstairs, to start complaining about the Wi-Fi not working. We have the standard 60 Mbps Charter cable modem connection, which is plenty for everyones needs as long as you have a good connection. I purchased the Extender with free shipping via Prime. The set up was a breeze, you basically initially will plug the range extender into an outlet in the same room as the router. Then find the extender in your Wi-Fi networks list on your device. Then go to [...] and configure it per the instructions (basically you rename it to whatever your main network is and add _EXT or whatever you want to call it). Once it is set up, unplug it and take it to the area of the house near where the Wi-fi starts to get weak on your device(s) but strong enough to talk to the range extender and plug it into an outlet there. I would use the same password for the extender as you do for the main router so your device can automatically switch to the stronger signal as you move around the home. This literally took me about 10 minutes to set up, if that. I set it up in the upstairs hallway outlet that overlooks the open downstairs living area. My kids are now getting roughly 20-30Mbps upstairs, where before they were getting 1-5Mbps and often no signal at all. Great investment that gets the job done.

Easy to install, works just as described. Dramatically increased the range of my WiFi network, and is easy to use and reposition.

This wifi extender does the job! I was hoping for a little more distance and ability to turn corners and go through walls, but its 90% what I was hoping. Has already paid for itself by reducing my data usage!

It was easy to hook up. Once I got it to going my WiFi picked through out the house. Great and very in expensive way to improve your WiFi signal.

Although my parents den isnt that far from the office where the router is, I could not sit in the den and access wifi when I visited. I got this little jewel and plugged it in in a kitchen outlet and I had great signal in the den. It was so nice not to have to sit in the kitchen when I wanted to use wifi.

In Extender mode it allows you to use the ethernet port for devices that dont support WiFi. It also has the ability to be a full Access Point. This would be great for travel or as a backup but I wouldnt use it for normal operation.

Works great. I have two homes next to each other and using a booster it covers both houses.works extremely well - would recommend to anyone looking for an extender.

for some reason if I had even a regular plug in the outlet, the extender couldnt get a good signal from the router. I figured out the best location and then moved the other cords to different outlets.Everything seems good to go now.
