I found out when I actually went to install that the bar, AS MOUNTED, is 21 - not 18. The bar was too long for the pantry door I was installing it on.

Very well made and very durable !! Ive installed two of these bars in an exterior enviroment as handles for an 8ft high by 12ft wide gate a few months ago. Barely getting around to write a review and the bars are still like new!

Sturdy

I got this for the end of my butcher block, which is 20 inches wide. With the holders, the width is 21 inches, so Im trying to figure out how to shorten the rod to make it not hang out over the edge of the butcher block.
