Just snap off a tiny little nib with a pair of pliers and set it near your solder joint. Apply a little heat from the soldering iron and lift the device off the board. The only complaint I have is with regard to cleanup. I wasnt able to get the gluey metalic material off some SMT devices and had some trouble fully getting it off the pads with wire wick and 91% isopropyl alcohol. This was probably a lack of skill on my part, so Ill try to get better at that part of the process, just wanted to mention it for beginners (like me) to be aware of.

I seldom write reviews. But I was so impressed with how well this worked. I had struggled to remove SMD parts in the past. The first time I tried this stuff, I put a little flux on the pins, applied the alloy, and the part came right off. Im a believer.

I have been using the Quik Chip removal for years but I decide to give a try to SMT Removal alloy and does not work the same. I must use more product to do the same task.

Just works. Low melt solder. Very useful to take out large chips or connector like hdmi or usbz

Ive been using this low melt solder for years. Use a little flux and add a tiny drop of this solder. I usually just use a regular soldering iron and heat it up so this low melt stuff mixes in well. Then the component will just fall off. Takes a little practice and different technique depending on the part you are removing. Sometimes Ive used a heat gun after adding the low melt just to make it easier to heat all the solder points up at the same time. Anyway, I tried buying low melt solder at a lower price from a few different sellers in other countries and the stuff just did not work. This is the real thing and at a good price.
