The way the rubber seal is allowed water into the bearings. Im not sure if it was from washing or regular use, but either way its the last thing you want in with your bearings..

They are a perfect fit for my 2016 Kearney Trailer with 7k axles. Look better than what was on there. Only needed one but a good price for the set.

went to redneck trailer supply all they carry are cheap aftermarket caps that bend looking at them and their a dexter warehouse these are as good or better than the oem dexters
