I have a 2005 C6 Corvette and these were a direct install. Now and then my hood wouldnt stay up. Very low mile car, but the struts were original so of course, they were started to seep and could easily be compressed by hand. These are a good resistance, and perfect fit. Was a 10 minute install. Easy to do. Great value and highly recommended.

Direct fit, identical to the GM oem hood strut on a 2006 c6z. The hood would barely stay up on the factory hood struts. Night and day difference now.

They are better than GM original. I used on my 2005 Vette.
