Product shipped quickly and was able to install my own in under 10 minutes. It does require an extra set of hands to hold up the hood while changing the struts out or a little ingenuity. I used a spare 4ft 2x4 board I had in my garage to prop up the hood while I changed out the struts. They are easily removed with a slim flathead screw driver to pop up the metal c clamp at each end to remove the strut. To install the new one, just place the ball socket at each end of the strut over the neck on the hood and hit it with the palm of your hand until it clicks into place. Easy as that. Made my hood act as if it were new again. Nice product.

Title say it all. Purchased these for 2013 Captiva LS.

They work as intended. The hood has no problems staying up now. They are so strong that you have to use some extra force to close the hood. But this is good because it means the hood won’t fall on me again in the cold or wind. Longevity is the question now. But I assume they will be the last set I install on this car.
