> 3 dayWe all know exactly what these SNES-like USB game pads are for. Ive owned and played a SNES since I was 4, I still have an original SNES controller and I use it a lot, so Im intimately familiar with how the genuine article looks and feels. By comparison, the kiwitata model feels slightly more rigid and less prone to flexing or bending, the surface feels smoother or slicker, its slightly darker in color, the shoulder buttons are a bit mushier, and the face buttons stand a bit taller. Its enough to catch me out sometimes, unless I manage to get properly immersed in a game. Its better than playing with the keyboard though. Oddly enough, when I first plugged them in, the computer didnt recognize them. I rebooted the machine, and it still didnt see the game controllers. I thought one might be dead on arrival, so I swapped to the other one, no joy. I rebooted the machine again, and lo and behold theyve been working fine ever since. Computers, amirite?

> 3 dayThese feels exactly like the originals. Great for hooking up to a computer or raspberry pi. The cord is about 5 feet if I had to guess which is okay but not great. It would be nice if the cord was longer. The play is perfect and I have no complaints other then developing that Nintendo thumb callus again. :)

> 3 daySo far so good. Fits great in my hand.I’m using my controller with my Mac which is correctly running iOS X. You can download openemu from Openemu.org which is the emulator (free) then select preferences next select controls.(Once you download and open the program). Scroll down to input and select USB GAMEPAD which will add the controller. I’m attaching some screenshots to help out. Hope this helps.

> 3 dayThere is nothing to dislike about this product or seller. Shipping was quick. Controllers work great and resemble the old snes ones. I use them on all my emulators because they are so light and simple.

> 3 dayFor older console games, of course SNES especially they work great. They feel a little cheap, but far from complete garbage. Have about 20 hours now on my set (letting the kids game) and if anything, theyve broken in and function better. Cant beat them for the price. Youre obviously not going to want this for newer consoles beyond the SNES.

> 3 dayOk, so I am updating my review here, as I had 1 star earlier for not working. There really should be more info that comes with the controllers, but the deal is that you do have to set up the config in the emulator, so its not 100% plug and play. Once I did that, everything works fine. Enjoying some game time with some awesome classics!

> 3 dayI noted the reviews that said something along the lines of you get what you pay for. My experience is as follows: - I received the controllers, hooked them up to a raspberry pi emulator, and tested the units - The units worked, but performance was unpredictable and inconsistent - I reached out to the vendor (kiwitata). The vendor responded fairly promptly, and sent replacement controllers. - The replacement controllers worked much better, and weve had no issues with them. To sum up, I appreciated the vendors effort to resolve the issue promptly. Following is the vendors email response: Dear Adam, Thanks for your contact. And we apologize for the inconvenience caused to u. We’ve contacted you on Aug 13 and hope to solve this issue after we saw your 3 star feedbacks on Amazon. But message undelivered. Yes, the D-pad seems defective. We are willing to re-send one set to you for replacement free of charge. You are also not need to return the defective ones. The new set has been improved by our factory. Please see attached controller printed “Kiwitata” logo. The appearance of the controllers is the same with the one you got. But it is not the same. The improved one is made of new mold and the one you buy that is made of old mold. The difference between the two is: 1. Materials are not the same. The material of the new one is ABS. Good gloss, especially A B button. 2. The new one will be more texture. It is a little bit heavier than the old one. High quality feel. 3. The new version button function is more accurate, faster response. 4. The main difference is the electronic components inside the circuit board are not the same. The functional modules have been improved. We will not let disappointed again. The tracking number will be provided to you tomorrow. We sincerely hope to help solve your problem and give you a good shopping experience. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely, Kiwitata

> 3 dayUPDATED - the box was already open (maybe Ive got a returned item?) and both controllers had issues with right and left. one controller have left constantly active. Customer service helped me solve the issue giving me instructions. If you use a Mac, you cant use the controllers with on line games, you have to install an emulator in your computer and set up the controllers. it works well but they should simplify the process adding the instructions in the pack or in the amazon page. it took some emails to figure everything out

> 3 dayI am sure these would work well playing any game in which the number of buttons works out. I bought them specifically as part of a Retropi build. Which is a system built off of a Raspberry Pi running Retropi OS which allows you to play any roms from games you may have from Atari/Arcade through the SEGA. NES, SNES and PS1. And they work perfectly, just plug and play. The controllers themselves are well made and feel solid, which is nice considering the price for two. They are a super function, well made set of controllers if you need them for something.
