Theres a screw to tighten the position of the camera. If the screw is not tightened properly, the assembly will fall apart (see the picture). Theres is no fail-safe. A $100 dollar camera will break into pieces if we tighten the screw with one extra twist or one less twist.

Worked perfectly for my installation

I needed something to mount from the ceiling and this worked perfectly

Once I got the mount the camera was installed in 5 minutes

Use your own screws, had 2 break off under hand install on drilled holes

Much better than the base the camera come with.

Stopped working after 2 months

This can be easily unscrewed and taken off granted the one that comes with the ring could be easily ripped off as well So I would not recommend this if someone can touch it if it’s up on a high spot where no one can get to it it will probably work pretty well
