I have had my mat for about 3 days now and I LOVE it!!!! When I first got my 3D pen I was so excited except I cant draw a straight line with a regular pen let alone in the air!!!! I was so sad because I had such great ideas for what I could make. All of my visions went away after 2 months of trying and not getting any better. My very first try with the mat I made a square that looked like a square!!!! That might not sound like a big deal to you but my first try using the mat was so much better than what I made without the mat after 2 months of trying. All of my visions are coming back. I am trying different shapes and each try is better than the one before. I will post more in 2 months to let you know how I am doing but this mat is so worth it!!!!! I actually think it should come with every single 3D pen!!!!! It is as important as the filament!!!!!

Too expensive, but good mat. Stickier than it needs to be. Nice to have grooves and smooth side.

This is a large, heavy, thick silicon grid mat for use with any kind of 3d pen. Its easy to store by simply rolling or folding it up. There are six squares within the mat to work with, and each has differently shaped grooves for guiding the filament from your pen. Because the mat is silicone, it will not melt even using high temperature filament. Because it is flexible, the pieces you make can be popped out of the cavity easily. You will need to practice how to extrude the filament into the grid. Every 3d pen is different and your nozzle may be wider than others. The learning curve is small, though, and youll be using it to its full potential sooner than later. Ive particularly found it handy for making pixel art.

It worked very well for designing 3D items. It’s like a silicon mold because it has grooves that make it simple to make and follow a pattern.

It is very difficult to use, it night be better than freestanding but it is in no way easy or user friendly.

A fairly heavy pad. Works good with my 3D pen. One wish and/or comment, WHY CANT ANY OF THESE PAD MAKERS MAKE AN EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE... OR A HEX SHAPE... SHEESH

Nice size silicon mat, I like the way it’s laid out, give me plenty of ideas to create some useful stuff, and just playing with it will be fun, only thing I’d change about it would be make the grooves and lines twice as wide as they are, maybe twice as deep as well , I think the molten plastic would be a little easier to control if the mat was designed with deeper and wider grooves. Watching YouTube videos of people creating things with their 3D pens they make it look easy. I guess after working with a 3D pen a while it would be easier. I like the container it’s shipped in , will make a useful storage tube for the mat when it’s not being used. I found that the plastic flows pretty good on to the mat stays put and releases easily when making parts of projects. I’m still trying to master controlling the 3D pen I have it’s challenging,
