3M Fine 9089NA Drywall Sanding Screen, 4 3/16in x 11 1/4 in, 2-Sheet Grit, 2 Count

Eh didn’t work that great. Definitely for basic projects.

I tried using this to smooth out some old solder on a copper pipe before connecting a SharkBite fitting. I couldn’t solder on a new pipe because there was a slight leak keeping the pipe wet. The emery cloth worked fine until it got wet. The water almost instantly dissolved the grit down to the cloth so that it became useless. I ended up using some regular sandpaper sheets that worked much better.

While not as rough as the medium grit version (9090NA) this sanding screen is still not what I would call Fine. Use this with a very light touch and make several passes though, and you can get a finished surface out of it with a little practice (I practiced on a ceiling joint that used to separate two rooms before moving on the more visible wall joints). I still followed up with a 320 grit sanding sponge to soften things out, but that was more like a swipe here and there across the surface. Use the sanding screen with a vacuum of some sort and you have virtually no dust at all.

I read it somewhere says this works on the toilet water line, I decide to try. We all know about the hard water line, I tried all I could, vinegar, nail polish remover, scratch it.. none of the ways that I could think of worked. This product is heaven! All you need to do is gently rub on it, then you are done! Plus It doesnt scratch off the white of the surface at all!

I had tried everything to clean the disgusting stained mineral build up in my toilet. Only this worked. Sure it takes a little elbow grease, but trust me, when all else has failed, get this. I also read its good to use on foot calluses. Yup it works there, too - much better than any other pumice stone, pumice bar, foot rasp/grater or emery board applications. Then I found it in the hardware store for next time, but I think this will last me a good long while.

I was polishing steel and the directions called for emery cloth. This selection was perfect for my needs!

This worked out great with barely any dust. The two vents on the head get in the way of full suction and has to be constantly closed to get the full vacuum other wise I wouldve given five stars

Nothing really bad about it. Works as intended. Most bad reviews Ive read, appear because someone does not know how to use these. Read the product use information and it will not let ya down.

These area good price, and fit the vacuum sander.

This and Barkeepers Friend worked perfectly to remove hard water deposit on toilet bowls, without damaging porcelain. So happy that 30 seconds of scrub removed deposits that neither bleach, nor vinegar would remove- the bowls look brand new! All you need in addition is a pair of gloves- I didn’t even shut the water off. So easy.
