Works well for cutting 5” discs out of 1/4” plywood. The instructions say to run it at 100 RPM but my drill press’s slowest speed is 680 RPM. I cut 16 discs so far with this bit and it did great and still cuts like a new bit. For the price this bit paid for itself already in just the time it’s saved me. Would definitely recommend for lighter duty cutting/drilling jobs.

I like the price because it includes the two hole saw but I prefer the ones with a quick release the measure tape is super basic, but definitely it’s worthy the package, definitely not to be used on plaster I use it a couple times on plaster walls but it takes the sharpness from the saw.

Needed to cut some holes for kitchen exhaust pipe, and this worked spectacularly cutting through some pine. But, then I had to cut through the roof, and of course asphalt shingles present a problem. But, that was the last hole so I committed myself. It got through, eventually, but I dont think it liked it. In a couple years when I need to cut another 6 hole Ill give it another try, but he already did his duty so I wont complain if he takes a bit longer.

Arrived on schedule. Good quality, cut 4 hole in 1 /2 plywood. Came with the arbor, 2 center bits, a bonus smaller hole saw and a small tape measure. If I needed to use a hole saw every day, I buy a Lennox or Diablo. This is perfect for the few times Ill need to use it.

The description included a 1 1/8 saw as well for the price. I only received the 4 1/14 inch saw.

I purchased this for cutting speaker holes in fiberglass (boat) I didnt want to spend $50 at one of the big box stores. The hole saw is good quality (better than expected) I would not hesitate to order another one.

This huge hole saw works fine in a drill press when you clamp your material down. Using this with a portable drill is another matter entirely. The blade is too coarse to cut smoothly and will catch and try to break your wrist. If you attempt it, use a drill with a clutch and go slow. I have only used it a few times so can’t comment on durability, however I would purchase it again.

Its actually very hard to find a whole saw that is bigger than 7in in the market. This hole saw not only gives me the capacity of drill big hole at one shot, also generates surprisingly clean edges. I think this is probably due to the sharp teeth and high quality steel that this saw has. A strong buy!

Not sure what others are doing wrong... some of the reviews complained about strength of the mandrel and such but I really put it through its paces drilling at least 7 through various layers of old siding and the sill without an issue. I really does bite hard so for the 5.5 bit Im glad I had a high torque low speed drill. Note this mandrel on the 5.5 will need a 1/2 drill chuck at least (typical 3/8 wont fit).

Very sturdy and durable. What youre cutting will get stuck but there are holes to push product out.
