Greater than one weekThe last time my computer died, I lost a ton of pictures and documents so I got this 512 GB flash drive to save my pictures and documents this time in case something happens to the computer. I simply plugged it in, found the files I wanted, hit select all and copy then moved the curser over to this USB drive and hit paste. Im not sure if that is how most people do it, but it worked perfectly and it received about 3500 pictures from Kodak and 3000 from the computer picture storage and a bunch of documents in less than 20 minutes so Im totally happy. Of course I went and checked on this flash drive to make sure all of the pictures and document were there (they were) and they opened perfectly in the programs I chose. I closed the cover and put the flash drive in the fireproof bag along with the rest of my important documents. Easy, fast, worked great
