> 3 dayThis switch would be great for home monitoring systems where you have a few devices that need both power and Ethernet connection. Being a gigabit switch this will easily handle any traffic that high end cameras can throw at it and the power budget of 65W total is plenty for most devices that you would be plugging in. The switch has a dedicated uplink port that can be placed into VLAN mode so all of the rest of the ports communicate with the uplink port. This is a nice feature for home security systems as if one cord is cut, the rest will continue to function. The switch itself is plug and play and has a few configuration options for networking. While it doesnt come with a lot of fancy frills, it performs its job very well for what it is. If you are looking for a solid PoE switch that can power your small home security system, look no further.

> 3 day1. I like that this is rack mountable. You dont have to rack mount it, but you can 2. Its a nice case... 3. I seems to just work.. .no configurations needed 4. It seems to give about 18W per port. I have no idea what brand of switch this is. I see a model number but no brand name. That said, it does seem to work and seems to be pretty well made. For a 16 port POE switch, this is a pretty good price.

> 3 dayThis device works really great It was really easy to install. You can hook up every camera you need to and have it all coming to one display. Very happy with how it works. The device itself also seems to be pretty heavy duty, which is a definite, added bonus.

> 3 dayThis switch is robust and has more features than I need, at least for now. I just wanted something to chain into my home network to accommodate a laptop that runs my security system, and a couple wired IP PoE cameras. Bear in mind that this is supplying 48V for PoE, so make sure you have PoE equipment rated for that. Its sturdy, and has an internal power supply, so it plugs into a grounded outlet via a cord (no cheap wall wart, yay!). It works well for me in default mode, and if I needed it to work over longer runs, I could set it for extended which would boost the power, at the expense of speed, but still fast enough for cameras. I will probably never need to use the VLAN option, but its there and someone is going to need it. Its really a decent PoE switch and packs a lot of value for the money. Five stars.

Greater than one weekQuiet, finless design, powers, your POE devices, easily without any noise. You can use all four ports, or only two in an extended POE setting, which allows further distances. There’s also a vlan switch to separate the four-ports from talking to each other, only to the uplink ports. Two uplink options exist, a gig copper ethernet port or a gig SFP fiber port. Does not support SFP+ modules. All ports support up to 1Gbps speeds.

14-04-2025No issues at all with this unmanaged POE switch. Its even wall mountable! The 48v Active POE switch injects the correct amount of voltage to my PDs. It powers up my extenders with no problems. Im happy with it. Great product! Completely plug and play :D I recommend this switch if youre looking at this one.

Greater than one weekIm impressed with the Real HD 8 Port Full Gigabit PoE+ Ethernet Network Switch. It has a total budget of 120W and is 48 Volt 803.af 803.at compliant, its compatible with PoE IP Cameras and VOIP Phones. The 2 Gigabit Uplink Ports and the ability to provide up to 30W per PoE Port fully meet my needs. One of the most impressive features is that I no longer need to use a power adapter to power my VoIP phones, as the switch can provide power through the Ethernet cable. I also added two PoE Video Security Cameras to my network, and I used PoE Splitters to connect and power two Security Camera Homebases. The switch handled the added load with ease and provided a stable and reliable connection. I was so impressed with the PoE+ features that I purchased a second Real HD 8 Port Gigabit PoE+ Ethernet Network Switch for my home network. Overall, I would highly recommend this switch to anyone in need of a reliable and high-performing network solution. The PoE feature is an excellent feature for anyone looking to add cameras, phones or other PoE devices to their network without the need of additional power adapters.

Greater than one weekAs the title says this is a solid switch for general purposes. But for those who are starting or upgrading their home lab Id suggest investing in something better, this wont have all of the functionality youre looking for.
