A-Tech 8GB DDR4 2133 MHz SODIMM PC4-17000 (PC4-2133P) CL15 Non-ECC Laptop RAM Memory Module

My Lenovo Ideapad Windows 10 PC is more of a secondary device. I primarily use a MacBook. The Windows PC is about 6 years old and came with 8 GB of memory. 4 GB soldered in and 4 removal. My research ws not providing clear answers regarding upgradability. Some sources said it would only support 8 GB which didnt make sense. Another said 12 GB and yet another 20 GB. Needing a little more capability for some tasks but not ready to commit to the expense of a new Window PC, I found this memory and for the price, believed it to be a great option to try, especially since it was returnable. Happy to say the install was flawless, system recognized it immediately, and I now have 20 GB of RAM for a fraction of upgrading the entire system. For happy with the results.

I got a message on my laptop at bootup that my memory was operating out of acceptable parameters. That surprised me because I had just run a system speed check the previous day. I looked at reviews and ordered the A-Tech memory to replace the two that were currently installed. Installation was easy and when I ran a speed check, I was surprised to find that the A-Tech was faster than my old memory even though they have the same specifications. I then tried one memory module at a time and ran speed checks. I found the bad original memory module but ran speed checks against the two A-Tech and the original module. A-Tech modules were consistently faster. Good job A-Tech!

Im not exactly sure what was wrong with my ram stick. It would not show up in Task Manager and after hours of trial and error, I decided to get a refund and buy ram from a well-known brand.

Sped up the laptop so it was once again usable.

This A-Tech memory was easy to install in my laptop, an hp-elitebook-840-g3-i5 notebook. I crosschecked the specs before ordering. It works perfectly and has greatly increased the speed of my laptop. It came with 8 GB of memory that I doubled to the max size of 16 GB. The memory and laptop are performing phenomenally. I highly recommend A-Tech for your memory needs.
