Bought it for my son whos in high school as a Christmas present last year. All was well until he put his thumb on the edge of the keyboard then closing the lid. That was a mistake. Now the screen looks as if it was dropped from a 2nd floor. Cracks and lines everywhere; thus useless. I called Acers technical support hoping it would be covered under warranty. Nope, he said since this is not a defect, warranty wont likely covered it. But you can still send it in and pay for the repairs plus diagnostic fee. No thanks, I can probably get a brand new one for about the same. I have 3 words for you Acer... Flimsy, flimsy, FLIMSY!

Seriously, it boots fast, great graphics. I have on my WFH desk hooked to two monitors and a conference camera working over a virtual system and have NO PROBLEMS. So when my daily personal use laptop failed me, I was able to buy another ACER Aspire 5 almost cheaper than fixing the old one. Very light and practical. I would buy a third, but dont need it. So you an buy it.

Incredible super great perfect

Ive used this computer now for a few months. This isnt a computer for gaming or high powered programs, but could be sent off to college or for basic internet browsing and basic word processing/spreadsheets. The screen is big and pretty good. The device feels pretty sturdy. If that fits your needs, the price is right. But I have two issues: (1) the trackpad buttons are not the best. I am constantly scrolling and trying to open new tabs so my finger often hits the right click when I think it is on the standard left click selection. It isnt obvious where one starts and the other stops. The click on them also doesnt seem as intuitively obvious that it has been clicked. My other concern is the sound. The sound is fine with headphones, but the sound quality with no headphones is atrocious.

After a couple of days the only complaint is that the speakers are on the bottom. At full volume sitting in a small roll I can barely hear anything. I ordered some blue tooth earphones to help with this annoyance. Other than that it seems sufficient for basic use.

I bought this for my son to use for school and gaming. With an upgrade to the memory, hes able to do both!

I love this product. Lots of memory. Download capabilities. You have to take off the security functions, but its otherwise great.

Good pc programming and general use. I wouldnt reccomend this for any hardcore gaming go big or go home.
