The Acer Chromebook Spin 13 has all of the features of the other premium Chromebooks on the market, but at a much cheaper price.

Had this machine for three days now and enjoy using it and discovering the new technology. Two...no, three things...maybe four, to remember. First, stop comparing this to Windows 10. What is the point? If you cant live without or think you cant live without Windows 10, then buy an MS Surface.

This is a great little chromebook. That battery life is fantastic and its easy to use. Touchscreen is really good as well.

This thing is built cheap and irritating, especially for what you pay. Ive had 3 other (cheaper) Chromebooks and this thing sucks comparatively. In tablet mode the bezel bends where you hold it. If you have the backlit keyboard on, it doesnt turn off in tent mode. It doesnt save window sizes. This means going back and forth from tablet mode and laptop mode youll have to resize all your windows. Battery life sucks if youre doing just minimum. The Wacom pen is cheap crap and the nub gets stuck. I will never but another Acer, this thing is trash! Also the plastic hinges that are painted to look chrome are easily chipped. The sound this thing has is embarrassing. Sounds like crap. My phone literally sounds 100% better. Try hp guys. Thats where Im going back to!

Though a bit heavy, this chromebook does not disappoint. Some highlights for me include lighted keyboard, fanless/silent operation beautiful screen and premium look & feel. USB type C charger is great and my USB-C car charger will charge it at a reduced rate. Biggest deficiency? The audio just isnt loud enough.

My daughters use it more than me. battery life good, they play roblox on it without a problem for the most part. So its not lagging. Might buy another one later down the line. I know this isnt best review I thought it best to say something and give acer their props

This is my second Chromebook and, coincidentally, my second Acer. I purchased my first Acer Chromebook (Acer C910-54M1 15.6-Inch LED 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) Chromebook - Intel Core i5 i5-5200U 2.20 GHz - Black) back in June of 2015 as a way to move away from my 13 MacBook Pro. Excellent experience with that particular Acer Chromebook and felt I was ready to step up to something else. So glad I picked this new Acer Spin 13 instead of the Google Pixelbook 2 I originally had my eyes on. Would have made a nice pairing with my Google Pixel 2 XL phone, but the Acer Spin 13 fits the bill nicely. Great screen, excellent backlit keyboard, vibrant colors, serious horsepower, and the battery lasts quite a long time.

This review is for the Acer Chromebook Spin 314 14 with 4GB of Ram and 128 GB of storage released in May of 2022. I see reviews for many other machines on this page. This one is a touchscreen Chromebook, unlike the earlier models in the Spin 314 line.

I have a workstation where I run real applications, so I was very interested in using crositini/linux and ssh -X with a chromebook to have a cheap mobile laptop. The touchscreen and tablet form factor seemed worth trying out as well. Im completely satisfied on both fronts. 80+% of what I do I can do natively on the Chromebook (email, office apps, etc), and indeed the linux VM does everything I hoped it would. I really like having a touch-screen and stylus for taking notes on. The battery life is excellent but its only a month old. Even if I forget to plug it in overnight, I can usually go the second day just fine if Im careful with it. But I easily get a full days work out of it on a full charge even heavy use with the screen full-bright.
