This is the perfect starter-gaming laptop if you can get it for a bit less then or around $1k

After being plugged all morning, the laptop was tuning off right after being unplugged. Bad Battery On Arrival

The styling of this computer doesnt appeal to me, but it might appeal to you. It looks like its trying to be edgy with lots of angles, and a black and red color scheme complete with glowing red keyboard. My kids think it should belong to Darth Vader. As for the performance of the computer, it works well. It can play steam games that are graphics heavy and run Photoshop. It has a snappy 144 refresh rate. Its not top of the line for graphics rendering, but it is functional. Its a decent gaming computer, but can only run some of the most recent games like Cyberpunk on low quality. It can run anything from a year or two ago no problem. Ive yet to have the fans kick into high gear even when stressing the system, it stays relatively cool. The fans are generally pretty quiet (though we forced it into high gear to test it, and they were obnoxiously loud then). The nitro button is pointless, it just brings up the program that monitors your fan speeds and temperature. It weighs 5.4 pounds and is on the heavy side compared to our other laptops. It has a dedicated power cord port, 3 USB 2 ports, 1 USB C and an HDMI port. The track pad is untextured and responsive. The keyboard is good as far as laptop keyboard go. It did not arrive charged, but it charges pretty quickly. The power cord is bulky and heavy, but thats pretty common. It does not have a touch screen. It runs windows 11. It connects to wifi well, the wifi is speedy and doesnt have much lag. It turns on quickly too.

I dont use it for gaming but video editing instead. Boots fast, just wish the battery would last a bit longer.

Immediately spent 4 hours trying to figure out why this laptop would NOT recognize the Nvidia 3050ti installed in it. Called Acer tech support which was completely clueless. At that point packed that expensive piece of crap up and sent it back. Will not buy another Acer product.

Overall havent had any major issues, the only issues are drivers not being compatible w win11.. but thats normal.

Well it fell off my desk once and only once and the screen cracked and somehow the little plastic part of the usb port fell out but it ran really well and I really liked it. Fragile but ran really well Im debating on getting this one again or saving and waiting for my tax return to buy a different laptop but i will miss it. It was a good year with it, ran blender nicely and got some good projects out of it.

Acer replaced motherboard and returned in a couple days. All in all, good service.

Computer was completely dead. Would not start up even when attached to power. Trying to get it returned has been a nightmare. The only way Amazon allows you to return the product is to wait for UPS to come and pick it up. Since I have to go to work everyday and I am not about to leave it outside so it can be stolen I am forced to take time off from work in order to get this defective product returned. Lesson learned about buying computers through Amazon
