Bought this to replace an old Asus gaming laptop, after doing a bunch of research. The Helios 300 is not top-of-the-line, and Id prefer an AMD CPU over Intel (whose lunch AMD is eating this generation), but I am not a l33t gamer and I could not get past the value offered by this machine. I upgraded it to 32GB RAM and threw in a 1TB WD Black and its good to go. A fairly resource-intensive (and as-yet not well-optimized) game like 7 Days to Die is playing at 70-80 FPS on Ultra settings (no turbo or other overclocking shenanigans). They keyboard has three or four lighting zones, but never really played with them. You should never put a laptop literally on your lap, at least if it has vent holes on the bottom, but its definitely a Bad Idea with this one. It gets uncomfortably hot on the bottom and unrestricted airflow is a must. Put it on a hard surface. I actually have shims lifting it up a bit at each foot, so theres a good 3/4 space underneath it.

Only purchased for playing WOW, Diablo and a select few other games. Amazing fluidity when playing WOW at highest settings. Ripped thru every game I have played with ease. Ample storage for what I need. My only issue is the laptop lid/screen panel flexes a little too much for my taste. Nothing severe just my preference. Overall I would buy this laptop again. The packaging was amazing. You would almost have to stab it with a forklift to cause damage during shipment.

En general es una buena portátil, tiene un buen valor por las características del mismo que por lo general tienden a ser mas elevados con los de la competencia, en parte se lo debemos a ciertos ahorros por ejemplo que no sea totalmente en construcción de aluminio sino una mescla de ambas, no esperen mucho de la batería ya que por la capacidad de la pc es evidente que consumirá mucha sino esta enchufada y con uso sobre el promedio, por lo contrario sino esta en un uso excesivo la batería tiene buen margen de tiempo hasta que se agote, un tema importante para quienes sean un poco mas meticulosos es el típico sangrado de la pantalla que en este caso y dependiendo de cada unidad e visto que tiene mas o menos, por lo demás buena capacidad, velocidad y gráficos excelentes.

I bought this computer to replace my MSI GS63VR, and I have to say, for the price, this computer is an absolute UNIT.

The sound device/drivers or card (who cares which) didnt work straight out of the box. no fix ... Daughter has no Laptop for school now until I get a new one.

I used to own the 2017 model and loved it. After looking over the changes the 2020 caught my interest. After having time to use the 2020. You can feel the quality. The slimmer profile is a nice touch and the RTX 2060 is a solid card. For the price no other laptop comes close.

I am very impressed with this laptop. A lot of laptop for the price. Very pleased with it so far after only a day.

I did a lot of research and even went through a return of a different laptop. Ultimately, I ended up with this bad boy. Im not a wealthy person but I am one that enjoys games... Spending 1k+ is no joke to me so I really needed some bang for my buck.

who on their right mind thinks that rbg lights going off after 30 with a way to stop or change it is a good idea....forgive me for thinking that lights are meant to be seen.....like really whoever thought this was a good idea call my cell or email me so i can understand this level of idiocy.
