> 3 dayLet me start by saying you will not see a Gaming Laptop at this price anywhere. (829.00). This thing is very slim but a tank. It is built very well and feels sturdy. It is not touchscreen but it is 144hz.

> 3 dayOnly two problems with this device I have found in my weeks of use. Initially starting up my graphics card was set to default as Intels graphics chip. Which also included games. Ita a power saving features to switch between rendered but mine was not switching for games. But it was easy to switch it in nvidia settings. Number 2 thermal throttling was a noticable problem. The solution I decided to go with was getting graphite pads. And alternative to heat paste with a slight risk sense they are conductive. Not difficult to pop open if you got the right tools and if you can change out thermal paste at the very least it is a great value laptop.

> 3 dayI have owned 3 Acer laptops now including the Nitro 5, and the one with the mx150 graphics card been a very loyal customer. I have never been so frustrated with a purchase from Acer. I feel as though I have been ripped off. Allow me to explain. I have owned the 2018 model Predator now for 3 months I have used it of and on for light gaming and noticed that temps would creep into the 90-95 c range after 30-45 min of play. no problem I thought I will under volt the CPU and the GPU , buy a cooling pad, and that should help a lot. It didnt. I use Predator Sense of course on full blast , and the temps still hover around the 89-92c range CPU and this is in a 72 degree room. I am not playing demanding titles either, Grim Dawn, Path of Exile . So out of fear of damaging the machine I will not use it to game. Acer made small improvements over the 2017 model in cooling but it is not good enough. now i am stuck with a 1000 dollar machine that tries to destroy its self every time I attempt to play a game.

> 3 dayIve had this laptop for a year and a half. It gets pretty hot, but not too hot with a cooling pad. Installing a second hard drive was fairly straightforward. The screen has some light bleed-through, but its only really noticeable on loading screens and dark scenes. Honestly, when it works, its capable of running some graphically intensive games very well. When it works.

> 3 dayIve had this laptop for only 6 months and it overheats all the time. Not even while gaming, just using your browser, etc. This means the laptop constantly shuts down, without a warning..! And you have to let it cool down before turning it on again (it wont turn on otherwise) Its too expensive of a laptop to have this bad of an issue. On top of that, the battery life is very poor. It last about an hour. I would not recommend this product.

Greater than one weekThis computer would be decient if it wasnt for the constant blue screen of death (bsod) even after sending to acer for repair upon return 5 min into it the bsod shows it ugly face again acer was even kind enough to damage the screen and track pad prior to return

> 3 dayThis breaks my heart. This is my 3rd acer laptop in a row. I was expecting outstanding performance without compromise for a good price, like I have previously experienced. This doesnt meet my high expectations that I used to have for acer gaming laptops around 1000-1100. It runs at 95 degrees Celsius (or higher) running heroes of the storm on ANY graphical setting. It doesnt matter if you play ultra or medium, the laptop is going to be very hot. I have a large cooling pad underneath that is elevated by a second unplugged cooling pad. It heats up to the point that it throttles itself and then my gaming experience suffers. This feels like a downgrade from the Acer aspire v17 nitro that just died after 4 years of dependable and outstanding service.
