While playing Paladins I didnt really notice the difference between this 144Hrtz and the 60Hrtz. The laptop gets real hot even with a laptop cooling pad. There has been a lot of times where the laptop would start lagging real bad while playing a game to a point to where it would actually freeze the screen and cause the game to crash. The laptop crashed several times on different occasions and after a while its just not worth the money.

I read a lot of reviews about this laptop before I bought it. The main two problems reflected on the reviews are overheating and battery life, which I was concerned about. After two weeks using it, I think these problems arent big deals to me. I am mainly a CS:GO and DotA2 player and this laptop performed pretty well. I could reach at least 140 fps in any maps in CS:GO and could reach up to 250 fps under lowest graphic settings. The overheating problem do exist sometimes if u dont turn on Coolboost or maximize fan usage. Temperature could easily raise to 90+C and would result fps drop. Usually I turned on Coolboost and highest CPU temperature would be around 80C, which is acceptable. (A cooling pad might be helpful according to my friends but I dont think it is necessary for CS:GO or DotA2) Battery life is to be honest short. Only lasts 3 hours just typing files on Word. But usually I used it for gaming and could find a place to charge. Ill have to praise the 144hz screen and 1060GPU which makes the game flow smoothly. It actually helps a lot in FPS games. Additionally, the price was very attractive.

Having issues with this laptop that I am trying to address. I wrote a full review, but then misclicked and lost what I had typed, so for now, I will just say this: The screen is wonderful. The battery life not so much. Issues while gaming that wreck the experience, though while working games look great on this laptop. Having drive reading issues and issues causing games to freeze and force you to power off the laptop.

It was a great laptop until the mother board took a dump. Couldnt wait 30 or more days to send it in under warranty so I took it to the Computer Hospital, where they diagnosed it as bad capacitors and other components on the MOBO. They thought they could fix it but ended up they couldnt without replacing the board. They found a board in China for $500 just for the board. So I had to purchase another laptop. Hopefully Asus lasts longer. What a waist of money.

This is worth the price, it runs smoothly, the graphics are excellent, it runs a little hot when plugged in and gaming, but dont worry its not a problem. Treat this product right and itll treat you right.

I dislike it. Really expected a better product for the price I paid.

Hello: just bought this.. Had it for 8 days. Install a second hard drive a Samsung SSD (1 T) very easy install. Comes with a Intel 256 GB M2 SSD that reads at 1070 MB /second. Fastest drive I have ever seen. No seriously ..It is impresivelly fast. I am old enough to remember hard drives that read 2MB/sec and were consider fast (LOL, ;) ) .. From boot to desktop in 9-10 second including the time it takes to put the pin number in. Comes with Win 10 64 bit Home edition. Had usual Microsoft Games bloatware ..had those uninstall from the start. Has Trial version of Norton antivirus and Office 365 (also got uninstall) took crap Fake news MSNBC out (uninstall) put Norton (my own) and Office 2016. Needed to do Win 10 upgrade to latest version, that took some time. Install latest drivers (Nvidia and others). Install Pinnacle 22, Photoshop elements 10 and Steam (with some of my favorites games). Itunes and transfer my music and move the main folders pictures, documents video and music to Samsung SSD (runs at 300-340 MB/sec) and now fully set up. Games play great.. Very High and some in Ultra High. Monitor is 144 hrz but most games run at 60 hrz max, of my Games only Call Of Duty World at War runs at 144 hrz. Frame rate is constantly 60-70 frames/min Monitor is very good but not great (weakest point up to now). Very good investment for the dollar. Durability will be discussed in 4-5 months. Will revisit...If I dont revisit means is good..

I will admit that Acer is not typically the brand that you think of for high performance -- gaming or not. After using this for a few days, I am completely tickled impressed!

I bought this product to mainly play Fortnite on and when I looked at the specs, it looked good to game on but there are random frame drops when I play. These drops happen randomly and I have looked at posts and people are linking it to the temperature of the computer. I wouldnt recommend buying this to play any game that requires even a little GPU. FYI my Fortnite settings are all on low and it still happens
