> 24 hourI needed a laptop that could run the Valve Index, for a super cool art project that I got a grant for. After many, many hours of researching laptops and one whole purchase-and-return of an Alienware machine, I got this one. It runs its video right off the graphics card through the mini DispalayPort and it handles the hard specs of the Index amazingly well. And it does it for cheap. GET IT GET IT GET IT!

> 24 hourI was in the market for a laptop, as I felt it was time for an upgrade. Being a retired IT professional, I needed a laptop where I can use my 4K drone footage for video editing...and do some gaming as well. I knew what specs I wanted and what I was willing to pay...even if there was a trade off between specs and affordability.

> 24 hourI am very surprised by the quality of this laptop. It is the best sub 2000$ laptop I have ever owned by far. The sound is actually pretty decent. The NVME is a SAMSUNG_MZVL25123 which is a PCIE Gen 4 drive that I was getting about 4.5Gbps read speed (25 percent faster than my Samsung EVO 970). The motherboard (in my model) is a TGL QX60_TLS and the RAM is Kingston DDR 4 PC3200. The Video Card vendor name is Hynix and it does include 6 GBytes of ram with a 192 bit bus. The display is 144 Mhz as described and it gets bright. The IPS back-panel does show some bleed-through but you can only really tell when you shut the laptop down and start it up. It also has a second NVMe slot (on the other side of the laptop) and has the insulator pre-installed on the bottom of the top panel. The keyboard is a little better than adequate but not better enough to call it good. Key travel is short and does not give a very satisfying feed-back.

> 24 hourBought this for school to use with Adobe programs my old laptop couldnt handle. It does work a lot better, but is obviously wayyyy louder. Its most glaring problem that you can see a lot of people mentioning online is this laptop frequently turns off. It seems to be when its on a certain angle or if something touches it. Everything is still there when it comes back on but it is wild how often it turns off, very odd. Good enough laptop, but this issue is too prevalent.
