AMD has PCIe 4.0, so thats what I went for. Last computer I built was a Gen 1 i7. I try to future-proof. Im a content creator, not gamer. The old i7 is still very strong. I just wanted a new computer. R9 3900 has lots of cores and threads which seems to be good from by work. I have 32 GB RAM, and WD m.2 PCIe 4.0 drive, plus a 500 GB WD Blue SSD I had left over. Im waiting on prices to drop to get a second 2 TB m.2 for the other slot. So far, the cooler that came with this keeps T < 60 C. I really like my Meshify Compact case. AMD R9 3900 installation is better than the last time I built. You put the CPU down and flip a lever. Very easy. Happy Customer.

Context: I came from an i7-6700k and my main game is rainbow 6 Siege and I was hitting 95% cpu usage while playing the game at 1440p with low/medium textures. Streaming was entirely out of the question as well since my 1080TI was up at like 70% as well, unfortunately.

Cant believe I managed to get one during these shortages. Maybe it was because it was my birthday. The hype is real. This CPU leaves you wanting for nothing and the price is so low youd have to be ignorant of the market and performance to buy anything else.

I dont overclock I run it basically out of the box with the water cooler on it its awesome and Ive had the 3700 2600 X3 900 x is the best one so far

Have had no problems with the processor, used grease made a huge mess and got so triggered. Bought graphite pad and was so easy. Plays games but more importantly does CPU renders for my 3d models fast.
