This product replaces the screen lock which was lost.

Secures screen door closed from mild pressure. My cats can no longer open screen with their paws and and then leave open for bugs and their pleasure. (photo 1). The screen pet door is too much trouble. Ha! (pic 2). One note, be careful you dont inadvertently turn the tab to lock position while the door is open as you could clip the tab of if you close the screen hard. I think that is what happened to mine. It lasted 15 years.

Not sure why screen doors dont come with this but....just what I needed as I have a cat who has figured out how to slide the screen door open....but not anymore! And when Im outside, I just lay a stick/piece of wood down in the track to prevent our little over-achiever from opening.

the screen lock on our back sliding door broke. Probably original from the 1990s. wasnt sure who had one so looked on Amazon and there it was! a perfect replacement and the same white color! comes with the replacement screw and took me about 30 seconds to replace. I wish it were stronger plastic because the tip could be broken if you try and force the screen open but thats the way they are all designed. Recommend the seller came super fast!

It’s really the only replacement… which is why, I guess, it’s outrageously priced… I need to get into the business of making these.
