Anime Studio Debut 9

I should give this program 4 stars because it isnt rally intuitive to use. If you are used to the workflow of a typical drawing program (ie Corel, Adobe, or even AutoCAD), then this will be a bit confusing at first. However, they do have a nice (written not video unfortunately) tutor on using the product, and I have to tell you that I am impressed with it. It is actually very powerful and can do some neat things. Below you will find a link to a YouTube video I did using this program (and a couple of others). In this software I drew the character and animated its mouth to the vocal track using that built-in feature. After adjusting my audio in Audacity to tone down some of the peaks in the audio, it worked great. I still dont know all there is to know about the program, but it is very powerful, especially for the Debut version. I would find it hard to justify buying the newer and more expensive Pro version 10 at $200 for how little I need animation in the things I do (I am NOT a professional animator nor am I very good at drawing cartoons...I am an Electrical Engineer goofing off on YouTube). I paid less than $10 for it and I would have bought Debut 10 at its typical price had I known if the program was actually this cool (although again, awkward to use for someone experienced with graphic design software like myself). Their built-in help system is a joke (non-existent by & large), buy thats what YouTube is for these days!. Anyway, check out my video of this and enjoy (details below)! Updated the manga studio 5. Bought by my daughter after taking a graphics art class at our local community college.

The serial number on the envelope did not match the enclosed disk. After the 30 day trial it no longer works.

This was very limited. Found out that Debut means that it is just like a trial version of 9.....waste of money because I couldnt do what Anime Studio 9 is capable of doing....waste of money...

I am a beginner with cartooning, so this software is a bit intimidating although I am impressed with the capacity it has to actually make the cartoons.

I like it due to simplicity but the features is very very limited. Bought the program to try it out and cannot do what I wanted to do with the program.

Love it, its a great beginning cartoon tool for me.

diffcult to understand, even for an adult, my 11 year old lost interest in it 10 mins after trying it out...
