Weve been pleased with these lights. My son uses them in the daytime for his turtles, and a plain heat bulb at night. We have learned with this type of bulb to keep lots of extras on hand, though. Sometimes they last a good while and sometimes they go out quickly. This one hes currently using has lasted a little while now. It works well and give his turtles a sun.

Amazing little lamp for a gecko. We’ve been looking for a good basking/heating lamp for our leopard gecko. A lot of the ones we have tried just didn’t really see, give off much heat, they weren’t easily adjustable, or they didn’t have the right type of clip to work on the tank we have, with the top we have. This light easily clips onto the side of the tank and fits into the space the aquarium hood allows for. It’s slimmer size allows us to bend the light into the tank so our gecko gets more of the heat he wants, especially now in the winter months. The adjustable switch is nice as well, because we can turn the heat down or change how powerful the light is during different seasons and times of the day. The gecko lives with a teenager and she likes to be able to turn his light down at night when she is asleep. The gecko still gets the heat he needs but she isn’t kept awake, which is nice for everyone in the family. It’s a great lamp for the price and would make any cold blood creature happy!

I love this little lamp!!! It is very versatile. I have already tried it out as a heat/light source for a quarantine tank, and adding it to another large reptile set up to add an additional basking area. It comes with a 25 and 50 watt bulb, and has a built in dimmable switch. I love that this LED light provides heat and uva/uvb light, which is so important to the digestion and metabolism for many reptiles. I do not have a uva/uvb meter, so I was not able to measure the actual light output. I feel as a temporary solution, or as an additional heat/light source this lamp is perfect! I found it easy to order replacement bulbs of both 25 and 50 watts. The lamp construction is very good. I had no difficulty getting the clamp to hold securely to different surfaces. The bendable neck allows you to adjust the direction of the light, and the dimmer allows you to set the intensity. Caution, the lamp does get hot to the touch, so its important that the reptiles are a safe distance away. Overall, I definitely recommend this product and I think I may buy another!

These bulbs, out of the box, look great and seem like they should work as any other bulb should. Hopefully they last as other reviews have mentioned them breaking within a few days.

I was worried this was another lamp labeled as heating that really didnt heat much at all, but I was wrong. This little light kicks out some good temps and is fully adjustable with the dial. Our tortoise seems happier with this light verses the one we have. Its smaller, installs easier, seems safer, and works great!

I make homemade bread and lately I’ve been having a hard time getting my dough to rise because I keep my house/kitchen a bit on the cool side. I’ve tried turning the temperature in the house up, but then we’re all uncomfortable, so thinking outside of the box, I starting looking into some type of lamp that would warm the area where my dough is rising without it being so hot that it cooks the dough while it’s rising. This lamp works awesome for that! I noticed a dramatic improvement, I’m so happy! This lamp has a clamp, so you can move it anywhere there’s a place to clamp it, and the arm or hose or whatever it’s called, is flexible, so you can maneuver and point it anywhere you want. It seems pretty sturdy, so I’m not worried about it getting broken somehow. And the package came with two bulbs, so I’m set to go for a while. The heat setting is easily adjustable just by turning a knob, which is great since I probably won’t need it to be as warm in the summer. While I bought this for baking assistance rather for a reptile, I would imagine it would work perfectly on any aquarium.

I was skeptical about using such a small bulb, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I have a red earred slider (RES) turtle in a 55-gallon aquarium. She was due for a new UV bulb, so I used one of these. Its small, but it produces a lot of heat! My turtle used to bask here and there but spent most of her time hanging out in the water. Since installing this bulb shes spent a lot more time basking on her floating dock. She seems to enjoy this bulb more than the pricier UV bulbs I was using before. I cant speak to the longevity of this bulb, as Ive only had it in there for one week, but so far so good! We turn the light on in the morning when we get up (7am) and we turn it off before bed (10-11pm), so its on for long hours. It comes on right away and starts producing heat within seconds. My turtle approves.
