I used these for a rainbow themed cage I did for my pet rats. They are strong enough to hold up hammocks with 4 rats laying in it. However, my girls are easily able to chew through them. There is a large amount in the bag so its not a huge issue.

I love these, but with Kindergarteners, they break too easy.
