> 3 dayWe have always used APC surge protectors with all our computers and refrigerators. We also use them with our Christmas tree lights so all we have to do is touch the button with a top tap to turn on or off. As you get older you will appreciate that :)

> 3 dayI have a kitchen area that hosts all my appliances; a mixer, a high end coffee grinder, microwave, toaster oven. Total its about 1k of appliances, and the power strip it was plugged in was so old you couldnt tell if its yellow because the plastic was originally ivory colored or because it was 20 years old. I work in IT and I dont skimp on power surge protectors; 15% of surges sneak right past your house level surge protection, and can kick in not only due to lightning strikes but minor changes in current, like nearby electricity use, appliances that kick on and off, etc. All you know is 3 years later your toaster stops working. Most of these cheap surge protectors on the market are glorified extension cables. I trust the brand, they havent let me down so far.

> 3 dayI chose this because of the good reviews for protection of the expensive equipment that would be plugged in. I had ordered a different one and it arrived but after reviewing reviews and seeing the shape of it, we sent that one back because it would not work well with Apple products. This one works perfectly with the Apple products and we will keep it.

> 3 dayWorks well, feels high quality for a power strip, the lights can be a little bright at night, but they are upward facing and separate from the switch so covering them with some electrical tape wouldn’t be a hassle.

> 3 dayI really wanted a flat connection to the wall in a certain area in my house to optimize space. Originally I had one that was not a flat connection, and I had to have furniture stick out from the wall. Now with a flat one I have been able to reduce that space and it looks much cleaner and the space feels larger. The switch to turn it off and on is easy to access and I can plug lots of items into it. I researched a lot of surge protectors looking at both design and safety and so far this has fit my needs.

> 3 dayIve been using APC products for a long time and had a need to replace another surge protector that had outgrown its life. Went with APC again, and this unit gives you a great band for the buck. Plenty of room to plug in what I need, and already has paid dividends as the day after installing there was a thunderstorm and a bit of a power surge.

> 3 dayI bought two of these (PH8). They protected all my equipment through a blown transformer recently. Others in my neighborhood have damaged equipment and are trying to sue the power company now. Meanwhile, my stuff is fine and after 5 minutes of APC chat support, they are shipping me a replacement for one of them that wouldn’t turn on after the incident. I enthusiastically give it 5 stars for working like they should, and would give 5 more for backing the lifetime warranty.

> 3 dayThe surge protector works just as intended, the design is very functional. One negative about is that the switch can be turned off VERY EASILY. You have to be careful to not turn it off accidentally. Otherwise its a well made surge protector.

> 3 dayBought this for security and peace offend for charging electronics and running a shop vac off of a generator that we use at our cabin. Works great - no issues. IMO, an excellent value
