> 3 dayI needed a superior laptop to handle all of my music and DJ needs. Apple is the industry standard. After spending close to $4k on a brand new Macbook Pro and using it for only 3 years with no drops, spills, etc., my laptop is dead. When I brought it into the Apple store I was informed that for some reason (they dont know why) a major hardware failure happened. They said it will cost $700 to fix a $4k 3 year old laptop. Any time Im in an apple store it is always crowded with customers needing a fix for their somewhat new products. I think that says something about how their quality has really gone down hill. So word to the wise, dont waste your hard earned money on an Apple product! They obviously are completely unreliable and junk after only a short amount of time at this point!

Greater than one weekMy last Macbook Pro is dying a slow death, and I was thrilled to find this one at a discount on Amazon. Im only a few hours into using it, but migrating from my time machine backup only took a few hours. I keep 2, 1 on a networked NAS RAID drive and the other on a 1TB memory card. Restoring from the memory card took about 3 hours thanks to the built-in card slot. Im so glad to have that back along with an HDMI port and a MagSafe charger (the cord could be a little longer, but it works)!! I did have to reenter the security codes from my credit cards and import a CSV of Chrome passwords, but this was still the fastest and easiest migration yet.

> 3 dayMy former 2015 Macbook pro with i7 processor and 16gb Ram was unable to handle the latest Serato update that includes stems. I purchased this 2023 macbook pro with M2 processor and 16gb Ram and it is an absolute beast. It is able to separate the stems instantly when loading the songs and the computer doesnt slow down for a second. incredibly fast processer. I would highly recommend!

> 3 dayThis new MacBook Pro M2 is incredibly fast and the fit and finish are on par. Adobe Lightroom is no match for this machine.

> 3 dayThis is a great computer. However, EVERY INTEL BASED APP, which are most apps, is extremely buggy. I traded in probably the worlds slowest computer (2016 MacBook 12 inch) for this, and I would rather it over this one. It has made my life AWFUL! Do not waste 2 thousand dollars.

> 3 dayI was told to stay home and wait for delivery of my laptop, so I did. However, UPS just dumped it on the porch and left. They didnt ring the bell or ask for a signature. I wouldnt have even known except my dogs started barking like crazy. When I went out to get it, I found the package open, plus it was damp. There hadnt been any rain. The laptop was safe and after unpacking, I went to plug in my wireless mouse, only to find there was no longer a standard USB port. When I called Apple about this, they told me that I was out of date and no one was using the larger USB any longer. So, I went to buy a USB C wireless mouse and found that all they sold were standard USB mice. I ended up having to buy a USB to USB C converter. When I went to set up the machine, it turned on when I moved it. I had not clicked anything. This concerned me. Why would the machine do that? After getting through the basic issues, I was able to get it set up and turned off. It seems to me that Apple should be a lot clearer about changes like no standard USB port. I would have bought a converter when I purchased the machine. Speed seems good. There were a few glitches getting things set up. Still, why would it turn on by itself? Why did Apple think that simply getting rid of a standard USB port was the right thing to do without clarifying in documentation. I hadnt bought a new Mac in years because they do last a long time. Hopefully, the worst is over and I can enjoy the new machine.
