Not as dense as most filter material but it seems to work a lot better and catches a lot of debris from my turtle and that makes needing to change her filters less often. Very happy with this.

Awesome filter material. I use it as my first stage of filtration before a sponge and bio media. Last long and keeps my water super clean. Easy to clean and replace as well. Just cut to size and slap it in your filter basket.

I have an emperor 400 that Ive been using for years with the OEM filter cartridges I have a 40 gallon cube and water has always been crystal clear ,after my last water change I used this product along with activated charcoal in the baskets that came with the filter ,after a few days the water developed a slight cloudiness that persisted, actually got worse ,I just did a water change and went back to the old cartridges and within an hour my tank is almost back to the clarity that Ive been used to.The product was very easy to cut and overall it was .....ok but I was disappointed in it.

It let everything but huge particles go right through. It wasn’t very effective at all in collecting debris and detritus in my reef tank. Waste of time and money. I even doubled the material up in an attempt to use it up. That didn’t work very well either. I don’t normally write reviews but thought I could help others understand product better so they don’t waste time nd money like me. Thanks

I now make my own sleeves for my canister filters on my fish tank. Saves me money and I can cut for a perfect fit.

I have been using these pads for several years. They are great. They filter as well as I could want, The best part is that I can hose them out and get at least three to four re-filterings out of them ! I would highly recommend them to anyone.
