... And I now have a runaway new favorite. Ive been a double-edge/safety razor shaver off an on for my entire shaving life (~35 years and counting), and the Astras are just like no other blade Ive tried - and Ive tried many. Up until now, Ive been okay with Derby blades, but on a whim, and after reading so many positive reviews, I ordered these. From the very first stroke (using my somewhat new Edwin Jagger razor), I was amazed. Smooth, precise, and CONSISTENT. This latter comment is about the consistency-of-feel on both sides of the razor. With most every other blade Ive tried, especially the Derbys, one side of the razor would have a smoother, closer shave than the other. With the Astras, both sides are incredibly smooth-shaving. For durability, these seem completely average, and Im fine with that. I get five good shaves (my face doesnt present a difficult challenge for a blade) before I dump the blade into my recently-acquired Feather blade disposal case (GREAT way to deal with old blades), and load up another. Im now eager to try the Astra blades with some of my vintage Gillette razors. Im confident the shave will be like it has never been. Highly recommended.

great blade! Only last a 2 - 3 shaves, but the pack is enough to last almost 2 years, so its a no brainer in terms of cost. Really close shaves and no bumps at all. I use the Astra with a Micro Touch Safety Razor Chrome

I am a novice safety razor user and thus dont have much basis for comparison, but these seem fine. They are sharp and move easily through my stubble with no pulling. I have a light beard and they seem to last a long time. I use a blade for about a week and it seems almost as sharp at the end of the week as it was when fresh. I could probably get two weeks out of them, but given the low cost per unit changing them more often than is probably strictly necessary is no great expense.

Great product and great value. I switched to safety razor shaving over a year ago and I would honestly never go back to the cartridge blades again. Ive tried other brands of blades and also been happy- mostly Merkur blades made in Germany. While I liked those- these are a much, much better buy while still keeping the similar quality of the higher priced models. And with a 100 in a box- it will be quite a while before I need replenish the stock.

For those with a safety razor, I have tried probably 10-12 different blades for overall comfort and durability. For the cost, these take the cake. Sure theres some ultra premium blades out there like Kai or Feather, which are extremely comfortable as well. For the price you pay for these blades, the level of comfort is just as good and the durability is awesome.

Dont have much to compare to, since I just started DE shaving, but theyre definitely better than the Ying Ji Li blades that came with my Weishi razor. No tugging when shaving with the grain. Would recommend.

I got these after reading all the great reviews but Im very disappointed in them. My husband has been the one using them the most and compared to the blades we got with the razor these are no match. The brand that came with the razors was Ying JiLi and those were fantastic. Theyre far more expensive up front than these are but the quality is worth it. With the previous blades my husband could go a few days at a time and still have a perfect clean shave. With these he has to change the blade out every day and the shave is still not that close. He has very sensitive skin and is getting razor burn from these. Everything about his routine is exactly the same with the exception of the blades so we have to assume thats the problem.

Loved it. Great value for 100 blades. I switch mine once a week. Really sharp and smooth shaving. No nicks, cuts or problems with the blade. ( blade used in a Merkur Futur adjustable)
