> 3 dayA while ago I had the basic CenturyLink modem/router which was horrible and eventually upgraded to the AX82 which was great. After just a couple months I got Google fiber and they pushed a two router mesh for free and went with that so I sold the Asus for little loss. However google routers suck. In a 2700 sq ft house the signal would constantly drop to nothing. So I went back to Asus and got the AX86. Single router on the ground floor on one side of the house and the signal is great everywhere. Office up a floor and across the house gets 300Mbps. Also on that side of the house I have a wifi Arduino using 2.4ghz and that has a constant, steady connection which was really spotty with Google. Also, Google tries to keep things idiot proof so configuration options are really limited. The Asus router app is very powerful and lets you do anything in an easy interface.

> 3 dayGreat coverage and excellent speeds. I had originally purchased the zen Wi-Fi mesh, but was not getting desirable speeds. Speeds doubled with this router and coverage is excellent in large home.

> 3 dayTrès bon router, très puissant, couvre toute la maison at la cour avant arrière sans perte de signal, il faut investir un peu plus de $ 150 pour avoir quelque chose de potable.

18-04-2025We purchased this because we were upgrading our internet service to fiber optic. Works great, easy to set up and even works with our Magic Jack for phone service. Very happy with the purchase.

> 3 daySet up in a bit challenging as verbiage is a little discordant but at age 78 even I could figure it out and connection made without need for tech support. I would buy this again. Range is great. No need for range extender…

> 3 dayA new router? I think not! Apparently, I am the third owner of this supposedly new, problematic router. After configuring it, all seemed quite stable, no issues. This did not last long, as the signal would randomly drop out. My new cable modem, which I purposely replaced to ensure all was good with my system, did indicate an incoming internet signal. Just to be sure, I went through the time and effort to have a Spectrum tech check my incoming lines and connections. He said it all checked out and that the modem did not show any down time on service other than the reboots I had performed. Not long after the tech left my property, the issues began again. Last night, my final attempt was to change the channel of the 2.4ghz. Still, the interruptions continued. I finally gave up on this router and went to bed. This morning I made one more attempt, and while doing so, decided to check the router log. Low and behold, what did I discover?? The router has been up and running twice prior to my purchase. One time in September of last year and once in May. So it appears, two other owners have had issues with it and sent it back, but failed to clear the internal log. What a waste of time.

> 3 dayRouter stopped working in less than 6 months. Cant return it and no refund offered. I have to RMA and ship it back at my own expense and be without a router while they wait for my shipment. Doesnt seem to make a lot of sense in 2023. What am I going to do without a router for weeks? Dont buy this router. I had nothing with problems with it when it was working. None of the basic wifi enabled devices would connect to the main network. I had to connect them to the guest network for internet access. Pass on this product.
