I really like the range and speed of the router and the additional security features, but I have not found out why the 5G drops just because.. I am not saturating the device at all. After the latest patch it seems to have stabilized. will provide an additional update after a few more months. overall it is quite a good product and would purchase again.

All in all, better than last two I had. Both stopped working within about a year time frame. Expensive ones too. Works well so far. Signal is as expected, if not slightly better, than those other two I had.

The gui for the router is nice and from ac1700 it doubled my wifi speed. Lan speeds will be the same 1gb ports that your used to but the network processing cut 10ms off my lag in vr now down to 30ms total. Range is about the same ( I can get signal in the street)

Excellent Speedy connection, they do a bit of manipulative advertisement by putting cumulative connection speeds on the boxes but all router companies seem to do this I wont fault ASUS here, it does not change the fact that this is an excellent router The user interface is very good Setting up is easy Plenty of tutorials online if you are unfamiliar with this stuff Has been managing about 15 connections flawlessly I have excellent signals over my whole house the wifi range is insane and I have no wood or gypsum walls only concrete working distances cover an entire 5ksqft house along with exterior coverage easily Ive used it for 4 ish months and had power outages and fluctuations, but its still running smoothly Love the ease with which you can set up guest networks Relatively decent app on the phone This router is so good that you cannot justify higher-end routers especially if your location of placement is central

Modem performs well, has a nice GUI on desktop & phone app, LEDs can be turned on and off. Speedtest results on XFinity gigabit service: Windows PC on wired LAN: 947 mbps Note 10 on Wi-Fi 6: 807 mbps Galaxy S9+ on Wi-Fi 5: 490 mbps Compared to my failing 10 month old NightHawk XR500 (random reboots/stuttering video streams) this router has better range, a better GUI, quicker Netflix 4k Dolby Vision stream start up, and snappier NEST doorbell app video performance. I did have some trouble during the initial set up while using my PC ( it would not launch the routers setup page and Internet LED on the router would not turn white like the instructions implied), but my phone had no problem with router setup after connecting it via wifi. This router dethrones the mighty NightHawk brand in my opinion (I have owned 2 NightHawks in the past) and I can easily recommend ASUS over them for performance per dollar spent. Hope this review helps ease those on the fence deciding weather or not to give ASUS a try, I am glad i did!

Had this quickly delivered by Amazon on the same day which is the ONLY thing that was good. It looks cool, but thats where it stops. They want you to visit a URL to access the router....router.asus.com instead of an IP address, so of course most browsers will complain and you wont be able to make changes to said router. After searching all over the web for info on it, I found more complaints about the piece of plastic than I did anything good. Its trash. I plan on going back to a Linksys which is what I have now and was easy to setup and use, its just old now and breaks down once in a while. ASUS makes great computer stuff, but they should stop wasting time on routers since they didnt test out their products.

This router is very good for gaming and network management if itll be used as your main router, lots of customization and even has Wake-On-Lan if thats something youre interested in. The app for ASUS Router allows you to manage it when youre not on the same network.

This is a great router, the singable is consistant and speed is perfect, but pricy but worth the investment.

Download speed test went from around 200ish to close to what I should be getting, over 900. Range is good as well along with the software .

I purchased this router on the advice of more than one professionals who spend most days testing router after router. This was recommended as the best future proofed ASUS router currently available for not an absurd amount of money. Its a good router, but coming from an RT-AX58U the only difference Ive witnessed as possibly worth it is the GT-AX6000s updated quad (2Ghz) CPU. As far as signal strength goes, my RT-AX58U is/was as powerful.
