This was the best deal I could find for a laptop with the best specs & Windows Home version. I actually bought 2 of these since my wife claimed the 1st one for herself. I wouldnt recommend this for gaming, but it should be great for everything else.

So I bought this laptop for my dad to replace his old laptop that was getting slower every day. I could have just upgraded the memory and put in a SSD but the laptop was over 5 years old. I did some looking around around and this laptop seemed to be what my dad needed. Fast processor, SSD drive, backlit keyboard and lightweight. I checked around looking at reviews on various websites. The biggest knock I saw was that 4 Gbs of the memory built into the motherboard so I would only be able to upgrade one chip. It wasnt a big deal, I bought an 8 GB chip and upgraded it to 12GB. The laptop was fast, the amount of crapware was low and all was well as I transferred the data from his old laptop to his new one. Then I noticed the one flaw... It has no SD card slot. My dad has an older DSLR so he takes the SD card out of his camera and plugs it into his laptop. I do the same with my MacBook because my DSLR is also an older model without built in WiFi. My dad who had liked the laptop so far immediately complained. I had to order a USB hub (on amazon of course) to make things right. I would have gone the full 5 stars if it had had a SD card slot.

    Greater than one week

Luckily I received it brand new and as advertised in the description, it could be better performing with a higher RAM option (I bought the 8GB one), aside from that it performs smoothly. The only downside I have experienced is that, on occasions, the fan can be too loud for no reason at all. Well worth it for the price and there are also a lot of cool accessories for this model in other stores.

Great laptop for school, work, or personal use. Its lightweight and fits easily in any bad I have. Its also pretty study. The only thing I dont love is that the speaker is on the bottom so sometimes if using in bed, the sound is. Bit muffled. It syncs with my wireless headphones and my phone which are very convenient features!

I have owned many HP laptops in the past and the ASUS is leaps and bounds better than HP laptops. The laptop is very solid, lightweight and the Ryzen 7 processor is fast. Boot time is 6 seconds and the TF memory slot is great for backups. I have installed a 1 TB TF card for backups. The screen for being 15 appears as big as the 17 HP laptops I have had. The small numeric keypad is nice for a small keyboard format. The value is amazing, only $549.00!!!

The screen is not as vivid as it could be. It is not a big issue it is not noticeable after a while so I am still happy with my purchase.
