I have similar lights installed under my kitchen cabinets and theyre very useful. I got this one to use in my linen closet. A battery powered puck light didnt provide enough light to illuminate the shelves, but this 12-inch-long bar is plenty bright enough, and using the motion detector setting allows the light to turn on whenever I open the door. The cost is much more reasonable than having an electrician come out and hard wire a closet light.

I wanted a light I could attach to my garage door that would turn on when the door started moving. This seemed like a good option, so I took a chance on it. I was pleasantly surprised that the magnets on the light bar were pretty strong. I had concerns that it wouldnt grip enough to handle going up and down on the door regularly, but it sticks to the door really well. The package includes a few stick-on pieces of metal to attach somewhere non-ferrous, but I didnt need them at all. There are three settings for the light: motion-activated, light-activated, and just on. The motion option works well for me. I wish it came on a little faster when it detects motion, but for other uses, its probably fine. It only stays on for 16 seconds after motion stops, which is great for my needs. The light is a pretty crisp white. It claims 7000K; just eyeballing it, it doesnt seem THAT bright to me. Definitely not a warm white, though. The battery is rechargeable via a USB connection. I have yet to see how long it will last, but I would expect it should be decent.

For a $20 rechargeable light this has all the right features. Off, constant on, or motion detection all the time or only in the dark. I set it for night time motion detect. The light will come on when motion is detected, and it seems fairly reliable. It will stay on for about 30 seconds after it no longer detects movement. It comes with a (very short) charging cord USB A to micro USB. You need to supply your own charging adapter to plug in the wall (which everyone now seems to have dozens of). I simply attached it to a metal cold air return in the basement because it has a magnetic back. But it also comes with stick-on metal plates that you can mount under wood cabinets or inside a closet if you prefer. I like the idea that you can just pull the light down when it needs a recharge. The instructions say the battery will last well over 250 charges. Obviously how often you need to charge depends on how often you use the light. BTW, my unit came already charged, which was a nice touch.

Pros Nice sturdy extruded aluminum case which will keep the LEDs running cool I have a number of these lights and this one is bright for its size It does light continually for at least 5 hours, so the instruction manuals claim of 7 hours is realistic Battery capacity is 2,445mAh, see photo. The listing and manual claim only 2,200mAh Comes with four metal mounting pads which is enough to give the light two different mounting locations Can be set to operate when it detects motion even if the room is already lit Cons No dimming Details DOES ship with instructions and a charge cable but they stick in the box so well that if you do not try to break down the box for recycling you are likely to miss them. Try not to toss the charge cable in the junk by mistake. There is NO branding on the box, the fixture, or the instructions. So when this arrives I suggest that you take a marker to the back and add the brand name “Auxoda” and a reminder that the switch setting selects how much ambient light it will operate under ie should the lamp light when it is already bright in the room. All of the Auxoda products originate from Shenzhen Shi Jiadan Touzi Youxian Gongsi, China As with any Li-ion battery powered device, avoid heat to prolong battery life. Also never charge the unit if it is below freezing The light is a pure white, roughly 4,500K Weighs 150.0g Conclusion This style of fixture is becoming a commodity item but there are still some duds around claiming fictitious battery capacities and having poor brightness. This one is legit and a 5 star item when found in the $12-15 range

I was looking for something small to create light on our floor when we get up in the mornings and its still dark out to avoid tripping on anything. This was the perfect solution because it can be set with a motion sensor. It was easy to adhere to the basebaord and easy to remove for charging. It charged pretty fast and lasted for about a week with constant use since it was in a hallway which we constantly walked by, so it would turn on.

This thing is awesome. It’s small so it’s easy to place and light weight. But dang is it bright! I’m using it in my kitchen and I couldn’t be happier! It’s amazing, I love it!!

Super easy to install. Peel the backing off of the little magnetic plates, stick those where you want the light, and then stick the light to the little plates. You can grab the light and take it with you through the dark. They arent stuck in place. Such a slim design that you dont even notice it there until it turns on. It came with 2 pairs of the magnetic plates so you can just grab and go.

I didn’t need the magnetic strips that it came with . It securely stayed on my metal toolbox . It’s exactly what I wanted . I highly recommend the motion sensor light to light up any dark area such as a closet or in my case my tool box . You can turn off the sensor and just leave the light on or turn off completely. Comes with charger too .

The LED is very bright in the dark and it can light up the entire closet clearly. I like the rechargeable battery feature very much because I hate batteries in electronics due to chemical leakage or meltdown. The motion sensor is accurate & control unit is easy to operate. The size is perfect for any closets in my house and I also like the built-in magnets. They let me place the light anywhere with metal rod or surface in the house securely. I will definitely recommend this kind of light to my neighbors.
