After living overseas for many years, the kotatsu table was a key piece to the furnishings. Living in the colder parts of the US and home heating prices going through the roof, was very happy to find this product. A little small, for a larger family you will need two if utilized as a substitute to the traditional kitchen table as we do. The power cord is appx 8 feet and works fine without an adapter. So far, very happy with the purchase!

The instructions are in Japanese but the pictures are plenty informative. Works fine with US outlets, nothing else required. The corner is designed so that the blanket you put under the tabletop will cover it, making the corners safer for people worried about accidentally hitting the corner of the table. I was initially hesitant to purchase this due to the price, but it turns out to be a great quality item.

Weve had our kotatsu for about a month now and I wanted to leave a review saying that this is one of the best furniture purchases Ive ever made. It has become the instant center of our home gatherings. We did get a floor pad and some of the chairs that go with it as well to help with back support while being on the ground. But its warm, the warmth can be adjusted by a dial under the table. It big enough for the family to all have space to work on things together or eat together around it. It has a very nice look as well and changing up the comforter that goes with it can make it match many different decors. 10 out of 10 would buy again.

I expected to get swindled but this table is excellent its solid sturdy beautiful and works as it should as a US customer I did spend $100 on a converter but I did not need it so theres a note for other US customers you dont need a converter

akuma no kagu 悪魔の家具 – devil furniture or hito wo dame ni suru kagu 人をダメにする家具 – a piece of furniture that ruins man Been living in my kotatsu since winter started and Ill gladly have my soul drained for the time spent in its warm confines. Bought a shikibuton and kakebuton set and meal times and nap times are wonderfully warm and cozy.

We always wanted to own a kotatsu but living in okinawa it was always too hot to justify. Loving in utah now and it is the perfect blend of pure comfort and utility. Highly recommend!

My family is in the New England area so winters get a bit cold. My wife has wanted a kotatsu ever since I described it to her and this one fits perfectly in our living room while having extra room in case of company. Its just high enough that we can sit on cushions and keep our feet under the tabletop, and it keeps us toasty warm.

If you dont mind sitting on the floor, this table is perfect for the living room. The heating element has an easy to use adjustable knob and paired with a kotatsu comforter on top, it stays comfy and warm for the colder seasons. Its super easy to assemble and disassemble. The legs arent perfectly secure so the table does have a slight wobble if you try to slide it around or bump into it. The warnings do say to not stand on the table which makes sense. Because this is a Japanese style table made in Japan, it does need an outlet converter to use the heating element. It works great and I am super happy with my kotatsu.
