Edit:After writing my review, the company reached out to me to rectify the situation. Excellent customer service if you do have a problem with your mat. Original: The mat was great at the start. In only a few weeks, the surface bubbles and then tears which is unsafe for a child that is still putting everything in their mouth and also makes it not waterproof in those sections.

We have had this for less than a week and it is already falling apart, really disappointed.

Our grandson is less than a year and loves to explore but seems to regularly forget he cant really walk yet. It is a great help to have this as some extra padding. The little guy has even learned that he can just fall back on the mat and it will be enough cushion to keep him from getting hurt. I really like the color scheme and designs as they arent so obtrusive they will throw off the decor. Just received it today and broke it out for my grand babies. Big hit! I hope it will last a while! Enforced edge is a nice touch and we’ll made.

This mat is such a great size -- its plenty big for a baby or two and an adult to sit and play on. I think the foam thickness and give is just about perfect -- safe for a baby for tummy time (not too soft), but *way* better than the floor on an adults knees! Super easy to wipe down, easy to fold (even has instructions if you get confused). Plus I love that its two-sided with the colorful alphabet on one side and a more chill, muted motif on the other. I think this would also be very nice for picnics! The carrying bag seems pretty basic, but its good enough to do its job.

The Babebay Foldable Foam Floor Play Mat is lightweight for its size and comes with a zippered thin carrying case. There is no noticeable smell, and it folds/unfolds easily. Both sides graphics are nicely designed with raised grids in alphabets and numbers: - One side with the full 26 alphabets and colorful animals/food/objects that start with the associated alphabet. - The other side is the calmer neutral mountain scene, with numbers lined up in 10s. This gives plenty of room for games and encourages creativity. It is not a thick foam and will not withstand heavy objects on a single layer, but for the intended purpose of a play mat for babies or toddlers that is waterproof, easily wipe clean, foldable for travel or storage, fun looking and educational, this is an excellent product. The measurements are off by about 1-2 inches (70x77.5), which is fine, but in case the exact measurement matters in your situation. Just wish that the carry case material is more substantial.
