Had a bit of a smell of rubber or plastic and kinda tasted the same. However it did hold water and kept me hydrated on my hike regardless of the nasty taste.

I now have 3 of these (1,2 & 3L). Bought the 1 & 3 quite awhile back. Recently got the 2L, came with NO instructions. But, it should work like the 1 & 3L right? Nope, evidently they changed their design slightly. Had to scour YouTube to find out how to open it out of fear Id mistakenly destroy the product (which almost happened). Obviously I like this product, I do. But when you cant include instructions or a URL to a 30 sec video.....Comon. So not 5*.

This one liter rectangular hydration bladder is my new go to brand! Although with the durability it has , I might not need another, ever ! I have used this on trail runs and hiking up to 4 hours in length and have never had an issue with leaking from any part of the bladder or tubing. The product is so durable. From the firmly attached top bladder sealer to the plug and play tube I have not had any issues during trail runs and hikes. I use this in my Ultimate Direction ladies hydration pack and it clips in perfectly. It cleans up nicely and I have not noticed any aftertaste (even with using my powdered and gel supplements to the water). One of my favorite things is that I dont have to attach the tubing until after filling the bladder. And there has never been any loss of fluid in the process! It is so easy to click it on or off! The bladder itself is thick and the bite valve is easy to use with a strong flow of fluid without much effort. Great Product!

I bought this rather expensive smaller bladder for shorter bike trips. In 2019 (the year of the purchase), the device worked well. But this year, the connector to the bladder failed. The tubing would not connect, no matter how much pressure was exerted. The bladder itself was probably used less than two dozen times. For the price of this bladder, I would have expected more than just one season of use. I cannot recommend this product based on how quickly and completely the connection failed.
