The hoops are a bit bigger than a nickel and appear large at first, but if youre hanging smaller-diameter outdoor rope lights (or the thin fairy lights in plastic tubing), the loop size is generous enough to allow you to hook multiple strands or double-loop them to maintain your swag control. The clips hold the lights securely without crimping as well. For ease of installation, give the hook a whack or two with a hammer before you start twisting in place; theyre not self-threading but can be installed by hand once theyve tapped into the wood grain.

If you are getting these hooks because you think it comes with easy installation due to the bit look somewhere else. The hook falls out of the bit non-stop and isnt very helpful in my opinion.

These worked great to hang lights on the fence. Easy install, professional final install. Would highly recommend.

The drill bit is very handy. I drilled pilot holes before drilling the real hook. Holds my Edison lights up so nicely. They are exposed to rain and elements currently on my deck and no signs of failure thus far.

This was perfect for hanging a flower pot from under the eaves outside. I also was able to hang a bug zapper in the backyard. I just had to drill a small pilot hole and was able to screw in by hand.

I bought these hooks to hang an outdoor shade. The catch on the hook will help keep the shade hooked. The finish on the hooks make them very attractive. I would recommend this item.
