A friend of mine told me about this device, but I could not get it to work for me. I completely take responsibility as user error, and hired a guy to finish the job. The guy I hired used the same tool, so I guess he should have written the review!

Product only accounts for a bullnose with a radius of 3/4 where the transition piece is 5/8. However, rounded corners on my house apparently have a radius of 1/2 so transition piece needed to be 7/16. This threw the math off for both left and right pieces. I ended up using trial and error along with wood putty to fill the gaps. It would have been nice if there was any indication in the description that bullnose corners vary in sizes. This also explained why when I put the trim gauge up to my corners, there were gaps under both sides as they did not sit flush with the corners. I only learned of different bullnose sizes after watching a video showing a cheat sheet. For radius of 1/2, transition piece is 7/16. For radius of 3/4, transition piece is 5/8. For radius of 1, transition piece is 13/16. Finally for radius of 1 1/2, transition piece is 1 1/4.

The first few outside corners Id tried to cut without this tool, was an exercise in frustration and cursing. Making them with this tool is easy. Once you get a couple corners under your belt with this, youll breeze through them. Was able to trim baseboards around a column with 9 outside corners in roughly an hour. I was ready so sub this work out until I got this tool.

This device really helped with the installation of baseboards and picture moldings. I had never worked with rounded drywall corners before so I was glad to have this. You just place this on a corner, mark both walls and measure to the marks. Then install to the marks and fill in the corner itself with 3/4 piece of molding. It looked great....even an experienced carpenter wanted to use it. I did have problems with delivery though.

I do a lot of trim in houses with round corners. This help a lot when it comes to making the outside corners. The marks dont line up exactly where you need to cut, but once you understand that you need to cut each piece about 1/16th of an inch long, you can move pretty fast.

This simple tool will save you a lot of headaches. If you are installing baseboard on a bull nose corner you have a couple of options. You can buy the corner caps or make a small filler piece to round the corner. I prefer the small filler piece. The problem is knowing how far into the corner to start making the cuts and making it even with the other side. How this tool will help you. Simply place the tool on the bull nose corner and make two lines. These lines are what you will use to take your measurements and make the 22.5 degree cuts. The center filler piece will be 5/8 wide on the inside and also cut 22.5 degrees. Worked every time! The tool is made of a good quality plastic and worth every penny.

Handy little piece of plastic! I use it in conjunction with my handmade baseboard template to mark & measure outside corners with ease.

A valuable layout tool for measuring trim around bullnose sheetrock corners. I have used shop made trim gages in the past but this is small, easy to find because of its orange color and durable.

Saves time and is accurate. The corner piece is usually 5/8 short point to short point. To me its worth the small price tag.
