I would highly recommend it for the suction and price. Now I’ve used the vac a lot for 2 months--it’s great. I was a little concerned over some of the cons other people wrote—but I am still thrilled: Maybe all cordless lithium battery vacs have the same problems—I don’t know. (I’m wondering if the lower reviews are because the 3 dirt cups are not being fully rinsed and cleaned out. Other reviewers: “The battery seemed less and less effective starting at two months, and now appears to be half as effective as it was when I purchased the vacuum” “After 3 months, this vacuum is no longer appropriate for cleaning upholstery.” One person asked me how to clean the vents--I don’t know the answer--maybe use another vac and suck the back of the machine out? take the machine apart? Maybe somebody knows and can answer.

When I first used the vacuum it made a very loud high pitched noise but after awhile it disappeared. Otherwise 5 stars.

I have an older one and really love it. Needed another one for my downstairs area. It has good suction and easy to clean. I really like how it sits on the charging station base. I keep my old one near the toilet area and it also serves as a night light in the dark room.

Bought this to replace an older 16V model, which itself replaced the same model from a previous purchase. We love these little gizmos. Incredibly handy and versatile. Its easy to carry around, well balanced. My only complaint would be that its a bit noisy, but I suspect that if it was quieter its performance wouldnt be nearly as good as it is. Our primary use is to tidy up around the kitty litter box. No matter what, their little paws always bring a little of the litter out onto the tile floor. This sucks it up with no difficulty at all. But we also use it all around the house for touch ups, for example in the kitchen around the edges of the floor and under the cabinets. Keeps things nice and tidy. Has plenty of battery life. We can do multiple jobs over multiple days (average time of use is perhaps about a minute total; moving from one area to another usually turn it off briefly until ready to clean). The charging unit makes it incredibly easy - just sit it down on the unit and a blue light shows its charging. The light goes off when done. This 20V unit definitely does have more suction than our prior B&D 16V (they look alike, this ones gray/black, that one was a light blue). VERY easy to empty and clean. The fabric filter unit (though they sell replacements if you dont want to bother, but its honestly so easy to do and, get this, Ive never had to buy a replacement filter - theyre incredibly durable - the units BATTERY (see below) has died before the filter fabric/material has worn out!) is easy to clean. Gently brush off the majority of the debris into a trash can, then a little dish soap and hot water cleans it up and we air dry it. Theres a plastic first stage filter that washes quickly, and the body (dirt container) cleans quickly w/soap and water. A few hours drying and back in business again. The nozzle fits in plenty of tight spaces. This is our 3rd unit (each one seems to last about 2 years, which I dont think is terrible at this price point), so were quite pleased with the product line for sure. Its the battery that seems to go on them. Though Im not honestly sure how much of this may be user defined than the battery itself. I try to let the battery drain down before charging, my wife always puts it right back onto the charger. Theoretically being a lithium ion battery it shouldnt have a memory, but I think that it should be used until nearly out then recharged. Regardless, with our pattern of use as noted weve had 3 of them (this being the 3rd, and its only about 2 months old now as I write this), the prior two (again, 16V, different model) having each lasted about 2 years. BTW, the plastic filter cup and the dust container are exactly the same, even on this new model; Ive simply saved those parts from the old machines in case I might need to replace, but have never had to! I paid full price for this item and Im an average end-user customer. This is my honest and unbiased by any remuneration review.

Ive always had a Dustbuster and they usually last for years. I use mine every day, particularly to pick up dog hair. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is so unbelievably loud. Maybe it will get less noisy as time goes on but its really annoying to listen to while using it. Also, the description says that it can be wall mounted, like all the other ones Ive had, but thats not the case with this one. It sits on a round charging station which Ive had to place on a shelf instead of the wall. Not a big deal in my situation but others might not have the space for it.

I really like black and decker brand cordless vacuums. This one is rather loud but, it does a really good job picking up. I charge it and then remove it from the charger. It stays charged for about a week at a time and I use it daily for small pick ups. I do have trouble with removing the nozzle to empty then putting it back on. When I received it, it wasn’t on correctly and seemed broken but, I got it put together and now I just push the button near the on/off button and clean it out that way. As long as I don’t turn the nozzle feature it stays together. If that and the noisiness weren’t an issue, I would give it 5 stars

I can see why some folks hate this or have bad things to say. Let me start with this - This is a great little tool to have around the house with 4 children running around the house. Theres never a clean floor and we always find pockets of crumbs from the snacks your giving to them every 30 minutes. I digress 1. Portability and cordless feature is a saint. Works great but dont expect miracles on carpeted floors. 2. Were using this on LVP floors and stairs that are also wood flooring. I have some areas of carpet in our bdrms that this doenst perform to standards. 3. Most importantly - you gotta clean the filter right. When emptying the canister unscrew the plastic and shake it off outside so you dont breath in all that crap. This is why most this cleaner will fail on most ppl. All the connecting pieces are made of plastic and keeping those areas securely tight and keeping the filter in the canister clean and prevent it from being heavily soiled will bring longevity to the cleaner and suction power. 4. Suction isnt great but its a portable vac itll too just fine for you to sweep up a floor and corner all the garbage and take it up with this guy. I like it, have no regrets. Originally after a couple days use we thought of returning it but we found ourselves reaching for it too often and so it stays. Good product from a 150 year old company

We use this to vacuum our guinea pig cage. The filter is so easy to clean and its light enough for my kids to use. The charger works well. It was a great buy.
