BLACK+DECKER 20V Lithium Compact Hand VAC, BDH2000L

I have an older one and really love it. Needed another one for my downstairs area. It has good suction and easy to clean. I really like how it sits on the charging station base. I keep my old one near the toilet area and it also serves as a night light in the dark room.

This is Exactly what I needed in a cordless handheld dustbuster, B+D designed this incredibly well! For quick light dustbusting in the house or vehicle, this durable and easy to use hand vac is so well-balanced, simple, and ergonomically designed that I wish Id bought it sooner. For small cleanups around the house it works well, although the lithium-ion battery and storage capacity isnt designed for large or heavy jobs, that is what the house or shop vac is for first. This handheld vac is designed for small or simple spot-cleaning, or in hard to reach areas which dont require a corded vacuum. The list of uses are numerous, for pet hair, dust and dander or pollen, spills (it even pulls up a small amount of liquid, although a wet/dry vac is better for that first), I clean my Winix air purifier filters with this, to extend their efficiency and use, any cobwebs in overhead areas, curtains, and it is very handy for the interior of the vehicle. The recharging time is very fast, and usually I can manage about twenty or thirty minutes before needing to recharge it on its base (included with the hand vac). When it is fully charged, the blue recharge indicator light shuts off, so it doesnt constantly glow softly. The motor on the hand vac isnt loud, the filter and prefilter only take a matter of a couple of minutes to clean, and it is so easy to open up and clean those that it only takes a couple of minutes after the first time. It only comes apart and goes back together in one way, so there is nothing to fumble around with. If purchasing this item, you may want to buy it bundled with a replacement filter for a discount, to save eventual costs, however after nearly a year Im still on the original one, and it is hardly showing any wear. I simply open up the hand-vac when it is about 1/2 - 3/4 full, dump out the reservoir of dust, dirt, cat hair, etc., and bang off the pre-filter and filter. In less than a minute, it is all snapped back together, and ready to go again! It is rare that I leave a lengthy review for a common household item, however this one warrants it. I spend sometimes a few days or weeks reading through top reviews, and dont make impulse buys, I like quality, and if it costs a few extra dollars, it almost always pays off in the end. As a comparison, when I needed a handheld water filter, I spent months researching, and chose the Katadyn Pocket Water Filter, one of the best purchases I made for camping, backpacking, and essential survival. There is hardly any comparison, and although it cost a little more, after years it is in perfect shape, and was backed by a ten year warranty, almost unheard of for a product. The same with my chefs knife, the 8-inch Koto Knives Professional Gyoto Chefs Knife, with 67 Layer Damascus Steel Blade, VG-10 Japanese Super Steel, having worked as a chef, when I found this one I stopped looking, it has been the perfect knife for years, and for the quality was incredibly affordable, around $80.00 USD. I expect that over its lifetime, the Black and Decker handheld vacuum will continue to prove equally helpful. The charging base and cord are included, it is light and durable, the ease of use and design is ideal, the two nozzle modes are already attached, nothing to take on or off, the brush folds out and back over the intake, so you can get in those tough places, and the motor and rotors sound strong and provide excellent suction for small jobs. The instruction manual is clearly written, in three languages, including the two-year limited warranty, youll be out of the box, assembled, and running in a manner of minutes, and what once was a chore is now made easy. Ill return to update this review in the coming year(s), however after a year of reliable service I recommend this product. Very sturdy and easy to use. Great to use for easy job that you dont want to get out the vacuum.

Works well but requires charging frequently

I like everything about it! It has power that cleans whatever you are working. It is light enough to be comfortable in your hand and I am 78 years old. It is great to use in corners and close to furniture and picks up little pieces of paper or anything that is not suppose to be there!

Good suction…gets the job done…the plug in charger is a bit different. It almost looks like a steamer lol

I moved from a small condo in the city to a home in the country side and got a dog. This vacuum has been a life saver. Its compact, powerful, easy to empty, easy to use and recharge. If youve never live in a rural setting, you dont know how many bugs get into your house. I couldnt believe how many flies, stink bugs, wasps, lady bugs, all sorts of devilish creatures were getting in. Talking to my coworkers, they said yep thats normal. Enter the B+D handheld vacuum. Just turn it on and bring it close to the bug and WHOOSH into bug jail. My partner hates looking into suction chamber, she says its some kind of house of insect horrors. The other thing is how much my dog sheds. Very easily Ill sweep and collect all the hair into a pile and the vacuum will make quick work of it. Truly, this vacuum has allowed me to keep my sanity. Its also great to vacuum out all the crumblies in my car. Oh and I just learned on Tik Tok the suction tip extends! You wont go wrong buying this thing.

I love this hand vac: it’s extremely efficient, lightweight, and easy to use, although it is VERY loud — like a jet taking off. It does a great job in small places ( like a car interior) due to its adjustable nozzle. Even the charging and recharging is basically cordless, as it has a charging plate or dock — it’s like hanging up your phone. There’s a convenient blue indicator light when it’s charging. I even use the hand vac on my carpet to clean up or freshen it instead of dragging out my canister vacuum. Without question, it has all the suction you need, really as powerful as my regular vacuum cleaner.

Ive always preferred a plug in vacuum cleaner with a long cord, but this small, battery-operated vacuum is great for picking up kitchen crumbs, for stairs, and for the Christmas tree needles that keep turning up months later. I keep it in the laundry room, and found it so convenient that I bought another to keep near the stairway on another floor.
