> 24 hourI hate to be so upset about a game but this is my second copy ( my original was made by Sekkoia SAS) -- and it is NOT WHAT IT WAS!!!! The quality of the plastic pieces is lower and more like a cheesy gem than a lovely playing piece in the hand. The sound the piece makes in the board is not a nice clack anymore but a hollow sound. And the look of the pieces on-board has lost its loveliness. Alas, alas, alas. Plus, the original replacement pieces will not fit the smaller size squares of the Mattel board. Im sure they made the pieces thinner and smaller to save money, but the result rings hollow.

> 24 hourIm not a Blokus fan, but I know someone who is and thought this would make a nice surprise. Weve played alot of the big blokus box as a 2 player game, with each player controlling 2 sides, and a smaller 2-player specific version seemed simpler. Unfortunately, Blokus Duo is too simple. Too much tension has been removed from the experience by cutting out 2 from 4 sides, and the game now feels like its over as soon as 1 player manages to section off the most boardspace. The result is more tic-tac-toe than checkers.

> 24 hourWe gave this game to our six year old daughter for Christmas, because a number of people had highly recommended it. They were right! This game was easy enough for our six year old to catch on right out of the box, but challenging enough that my husband and I were fully engaged from the start. We have since played Blokus both with and without our daughter- even though it is her game! Blokus encourages both spatial awareness and strategic thinking, but does so in a way that is creative and fun. Weve already played this game nearly a dozen times in the last four days, and I know that we will be enjoying it for years to come. I would highly recommend Blokus to anyone. I want to add one caveat, though, which I havent seen many people mention. This game is best when played with :exactly: four players. Playing with three players is a little easier, so thats a good way to learn, and is still engaging and fun. Though there are adaptations to play the game with two players, I, personally, dont enjoy it as much that way.

> 24 hourGreat game. Really makes you think. The kids and the grownups all like it. Even my kindergarten student can play. Some pieces seem like they could break rather easily. Also if you lose 1 piece you are out of luck.
