I still have a California~King waterbed in the master BR. Drain at least 4/5s of the H2O out every 1-2 years and put the whole bottle of this stuff in there after the mattress is full+ roll around for awhile :) ....Keeps the moldy crap out + helps condition the inside mattress surface. I believe it also helps to keep the PH in check.

Did they change the formula? This stuff has a strong chemical type smell once I added it to my waterbed. My lungs and sinuses are so irritated I can hardly breath. I don’t remember it smelling like that the first two years I used it, but now it’s so bad I can smell it throughout my house, and I put it in over a week ago. I found some instructions on line for making your own waterbed conditioner. I think I’ll try that. I won’t be using Blue Magic again.

Forgetting to add conditioner to your water bed is not a good practice. However, I’ve done this many times. I’ve always used Blue Magic and so far water bed, now 16 years old, is in great shape. There are complaints of an odor. I’ve never detected any till maybe this last time but it dissipated quickly.

Its almost impossible to find items for waterbeds these days, so I was happy to be able to purchase the waterbed conditioner on-line. I purchased two bottles, and they were delivered in just a few days. Now if I can just find waterbed sheets that arent so outrageously priced.......
