I have been looking for a nice quality, stitched edge gaming mat for a while, to put on our table when we play our board games. Initially I passed this up because of the blue color.... in the product photos it appeared a bit too blue for my taste, plus I was not sure if I would like the thicker foam vs a slimmer mat. Decided to give it a try anyway and purchased it along with another that was thinner, to compare. Definitely prefer the thicker mat, and I was very excited to find that the color is more subdued in real life. Just a matter of preference, but I like that it fades into the background as we play, rather than being front-and-center like one with a pattern or picture. Another great quality is the stitched edging, which will prevent fraying over time, especially as we take it in and out of the case (we live in a small apartment and cannot leave it permanently set up, so it goes back in the carrying case afterwards... another great feature!) Finally, the rubber backing (very similar to mouse-pad bottoms) and weight mean that it really does not slide around as we use it. It stays firmly in place while playing, and is easily rolled up and stored away when not in use. It did arrive smelling slightly rubbery/chemically but we left it out overnight spread on the table and by morning it was gone. HIGHLY recommend giving this mat a try!

This really steps up your board game set up. Super sturdy and durable easy to clean, and feels great!. No more bending cards trying to pick them up.

I bought both sizes of this during the kickstarter and have since bought a few more as gifts. They work great. The stitched edges are a nice touch. Previously, we had used a giant piece of neoprene cut down to our table size and while it worked well, this is a wonderful upgrade (super thick and sewn edges). The logo is pretty small in the corner and doesnt really bother anyone. We have 2 dining tables in our house, the small fits one and the large fits the other perfectly. If you have a table that isnt quite the right size, its better to go smaller. If it hangs over the edge, you will catch your hand on the edge and the game will get moved around. If a little wood is showing around the edge, no big deal. The bags are nice. Easy to put them back in provided you roll them with the blue facing out. These are a great buy compared to others on the market. The plain color wont add/subtract anything from any game you are playing. We get it wet from drinks and ice cream and its been no issue. Love this playmat, especially the included travel bag that makes it so easy to take wherever were playing games each night. Originally purchased the larger size but found this one fits most all of our games while giving us more room to put cups and snacks around the edges. So easy to slide around cards and tiles, we play a lot of deck building and other strategy board games. Highly recommend!

Thick mat, nicely grip on my wooden table. Quite confortable for playing boardgame (Viticulture for exemple). Need to evaluate on the long term usage (durability and capability to stay flat once unrolled)
